That's an impressive set. I do wish they gave him a waist piece to make his lower torso larger. All I see is a pair of wings, a chest and 2 long legs...

And since we're getting a Motormaster from that mold, I wonder if DNA will make him a trailer.

Mark Maher has posted designer commentary and official stock photos for the upcoming Legacy United toys of Slipstream and Quake.

https://www.instagram.com/p/C8Ey4mYuyz9/
Legacy United Slipstream is here to bless your collection and make all the other seekers jealous! :D
.
I mean after all, Legacy has welcomed alot of females to the fray, why not a female Decepticon seeker jet! These pics show just how amazing the colors came out, the metallic teal would make anyone =P~ . Toss in some Decepticon (light & dark) purple, black, and the same purple metallic that was used on Chromia to get a wicked fresh color scheme thats one of the major highlights to this cool character.
.
New head, new blasters, and an all new attitude! I used og Starscream’s head sculpt as a go by to create the sculpt for the head, but I did add the ears to make it a lil more unique. I will post some more pictures but my sample does not have the final colors, and these final colors featured in these photos are :michaelbay: !
.
Other noteworthy deets about this mold, the teal tinted cockpit allows you to see the actual pilot and co pilot seats inside that were sculpted skillfully. The new blasters can be welded in multiple locations and do have a blast compatible tip on them. The fan wing thrusters still have the articulated festure to them just like her enemy Windblade. Just super excited to finally get my hands on this character!
.
I will post more later today but please enjoy this! Reminder that Pre Orders for this gal are this Thursday at 1 pm et!
Had to replace Mark's emoticons since Instagram's emojis are unfriendly to this site's coding.

Introducing Legacy United Quake accompanied by his Target Masters Tiptop and Heater!
.
I’m very glad we could finally complete the Decepticon double target master trio collection. I’ll post more in hand shots of this guy later today so you can really get a sense of how this guy fits in with the rest!
.
He was a partial which was challenging due to having the target masters fit in the plan. But I felt they were a must have as somtimes in the past we weren’t able to find a way to fit them in. I really love the robot design attributes of the target master dudes, it was also challenging trying to figure out how to get these guys in there right color deco’s.
.
The deets for this bad boy are as follows: utilizing the Skullgrin mold foe the partial which really gave him the size he needed to fit alongside Needlenose and Spinister. He has multiple different attachement places for the blast effect compatible target masters. His blast effect compatible turret can swivel with articulation upwards for the cannon. Colors and look are accurate to his character persona. His tank is more of a Sherman speeder tank with attributes of the abrams, mostly details.
.
More coming so hang tight and enjoy the week of reveals!

--------

Quake looks decent. Nothing too fancy, but it gets the job done and at least resembles the character.

--------

Hate that Slipstream. Hate hate hate hate hate that Slipstream. Hate it.

Because it's not Slipstream. At all.

It's Slipstream's colors on Windblade's body. Windblade's body without any retooling is not a Seeker body in any capacity.

And that head is not Slipstream's head. Slipstream is female. That head does not look anything like any head Slipstream has ever had. It's too masculine, resembling some random male dude instead. In Mark's designer commentary, he even admits that the head is just Starscream with new ears. New ears do not make something feminine, Mark!

This is not Slipstream. Period.

Yeah, I'm not happy with that Slipstream either. The colors pop, but it's just a lazy repaint. Should've given us a repainted voyager Seeker if they weren't gonna do an original mold for her.

Quake is an instant preorder. Love the colors, love the alt mode.

The Legacy Windblade mold is excellent, but it doesn't rock at all with Slipstream.

As for Quake, is it a retooled Skullgrin?

Guess I'm the only one that likes Slipstream. Granted, she's not a Voyager Seeker, but I love the colors. Don't much care if she's not really a seeker.

What's even more of a shame is that it appears to be removable. It comes off at the base and reattaches by the tab on top to the slot at the back of the turret so it looks right in bot mode.

Also strange that the back of the box doesn't show the Targetmaster partners combined properly, instead going for an entirely wrong over and under hold. None of the stock photos show them combined either despite having 5mm peg holes in their backs.

Takara did it way back then with the original Generations Windblade. That time, they bothered to remold the chest as well, giving her a faux-cockpit.

And a gave her a more accurate head. And gave her wings an actual Seeker-line stripe design. And gave her new null rays that actually attach to her arms. And that figure was specifically the Animated version of the character.

This is just Windblade in a bad Slipstream cosplay wearing Starscream's head with new ears. >:oP

Yeah, I saw that the tank mode pics were a different shade, though still not as dark as I expected. I appreciate it's a matter of the engineering as to what colours end up where - the amount of red visible in bot mode just caught me by surprise. My mental picture of Quake is "dark blue and grey with maroon legs", emphasis on dark.

Mark's posted a second designer commentary post for Slipstream (with pics of a non-final sample of the figure), and it's almost as if he posted it in response to the critical feedback of the figure.

https://www.instagram.com/p/C8F5Howu9aD/

For todays reveal, I wanted to make sure you got to see the final product photos with our awesome Legacy United background. But nowwwww, I couldn’t wait to get some shots of her myself, even if the colors are not final. I wanted to make sure to show off all the positions for the null ray blasters, a decepticon seeker must! 8-)
.
So please, do yourself a favor and scan through all the photos. I saw most of you were looking for a voyager scale to be equal with Starscream and I have noted that to the team. But, BUT, this cyberverse styled Slipstream hits hard in hand. If nothing else the colors, the colors, ohhhh the glorious tones of color, what a symphony to the  here! I actually dig the petite scale difference with ol SS.
.
If there is somthing I learned here on @instagram is its the fandom for Transformers is not only a lovable passionate group, but everyone is extremely opinionated! Its near impossible to satisfy everyones wants and needs, you can only go with your gut instinct in the end and hope everyone sees what you were at least trying to accomplish!
.
Big shouts out to Koki san over in Takara Tomy who worked on this glorious tool! The articulation and transformation is solid, and please take a good look at her backside cause its looking just as good as the front! That super sonic cybertronian influenced jet design tho, it just screams hypersonic speeds beating all sorts of astrocycle tests!
.
You can see the main differences in final product will be the teal color is metallic in the final product but its NOT metallic here. Also, the canopy is tinted teal in final product but NOT here, it is clear, so for final product, AGAIN, metallic teal and teal tinted cockpit!
.
Quake next!

My homey Tomo san from Takara has just been knocking it out the park with these earth shattering partials! He led the way on this dude and I played a little catch up when it came to my lil target master darlings!
.
Its wild how these colors come off so bright in photos but in hand the deep saturated tones melt your heart. His face sculpt really sings up close and the details on the new molded Target Masters make this guy a must have. He has multiple blast compatible weapons and movable gun barrel turret.
.
Being based off of skullgrin makes this dude the perfect size to complete his target master gang! More reveals tomorrow, Im already exhausted after one day!

I'm sticking with the old Legends version of Slippy. Ditto Windblade. Maybe the new toy is technically better, but I just don't need another of her. I like the old one a lot.

Ironically if they had made a G1-ified version of Animated Slipstream (at voyager scale) I'd be all in for it. Absolutely no other Animated TF, mind you. Just Slipstream. But this one is just not doing it for me. But it's good she's available for those who don't have her, I guess.

Meanwhile I have every Deluxe/Warrior/whatever release of the Windblade molds except for the original Japanese release and the gray RID repaint from the SDCC box set. I don't really like this Slipstream, but I feel obligated to buy it, but it helps that the new Windblade is such a solid figure.

I'll say in defense of Slipstream that if I was a fan of the cyberverse design of the character I might like this figure and that block head
I appreciate the attempt and I like the paintjob

If this figure gets remolded into an animated version in a Mayhem or Walmart subline or something, with at least a new head and new forearms to hold the guns I'll be happy. New chest to have a more pronounced cockpit and removed shoulder pads is probably even more unrealistic than the first things I said but that would be perfect for me

But Cyberverse Slipstream didn't have either that "Nemesis Windblade" design or that block head.

Her head was angular rather than cube-like.

eh, looks pretty androgynous to me. Compared to Quake's, for example. Just less typically-femme than expected and, crucially, doesn't really look like any version of Slipstream that we've known. I think what's doing it for me is that the lines are straight up and down like a typical Seeker head*, while Slipstream more usually has a pronounced angle down to the chin.

* ED: Maybe? I'm having trouble deciding exactly what's making the head feel 'off', just that something is.
