The Mainframe art is all I was pointing out with that scan, and we know that's canon. What the text says is irrelevant to this case.Rodimus Prime wrote:Well, neither of those is the light shade of gray the new figure has. That's what I'm trying to say. The toy should be colored the same darker shade that's in both of those examples, especially in the Ultimate Guide. (Even though wasn't that dismissed years ago as non-canon, but just one variation of things as shown by Simon Furman?)

I was genuinely asking those questions, I am not familiar with all the varieties of eagles. I DID know there are more species of eagles than just the bald eagle. Wolves, I know a bit more about, but the gray tundra wolf specifically did not come to mind.Emerje wrote:Rodimus Prime wrote:He was supposed to be a fused wolf and eagle, right? Wait, and I don't mean this to come across as antagonistic or anything, but are you just not familiar with the variety of animals out there? Most animals, even among the same species can still be very varied in their colors and patterns. Them saying Silverbolt is part eagle and part wolf is about as non specific as you can get. There's more than just bald eagles out there, gray eagles are a real thing just like gray wolves.

We'll just have to agree to disagree. Each toy iteration of a character is a chance to fix previous failings, and unless they specifically wanted to adhere to the original toy's scheme, the new toy also fails, even if it's closer. But this is all a matter of opinion, if its acceptable to you, that's fine with me. It's not acceptable to me, and that should be okay with you. We're not spending each other's money on it after all.Obviously a toy isn't going to get all the color nuances, but I think they did a pretty good job with the black down the back of beast mode. This figure has colors closer to the cartoon than the original toy. Modern Hasbro is still trying to make Beast Wars figures look somewhat realistic, but they're at the mercy of 90s Hasbro's choice of colors like metallic gold. If anything I think the new figure could stand to be slightly lighter colored.

Probably not looking at a repeat Cosmos situation as each DLX figure should come 2 each making it 6 bots per case right? While Ferak is 4X per case?
Rodimus Prime wrote:For some reason I thought there was a 5th figure, another voyager.
If not, I guess Ferak will be solid case, which is good for me since that's the only one I want.

They put a hold, but unlike many retailers, for some reason it takes several days (rather than just a "check" to make sure funds are there). So they dont actually charge until the item ships, but to secure your order, may take several days, kind of annoying.
As for which will be the hardest to find.... The voyager and leader being only 1 (and in cases of and 3 respectively) should be easy enough to obtain if they do show up in stores (Like G2 Grimlock, Toxitron, and the Voyager Cloudcover were in abundance).
If there are 4 deluxes (Cases of 8, and 2 per case), that would be even, then as WJ said, its up to distribution. My guess is that Lockdown might be slightly more popular than the others, but I honestly dont know. I'm just being pessimistic because Lockdown is the only one I'm remotely interested in, so according to Murphys law, that WILL be the hardest to get .
Lastly, is Roadpig part of this subline? I thought he was part of something else?

Ferak is the only voyager, but there's also Roadpig as a deluxe and Thundertron as a leader
Emerje wrote: is about as random as it gets, always has been, what's abundant at one store can be non existent at the next. We won't really know what's easy to get until after they show up in stores, we can't even use past distribution as a metric.

Maybe because he was on screen for only a few shots? We did get a Sweep from the Scourge mold (whose deco ironically looks more like Scourge than Scourge does) so I guess we could get a "Cy-clone-us" as well. Probably towards the tail end of SS86, when they run out of characters.AllNewSuperRobot wrote:I am genuinely amazed there hasn't been a Cyclonus Armada redeco in the Legacy or even SS'86 line yet? Some have bought the Selects toy-colors Cyclonus to use as an Armada.Rodimus Prime wrote:Maybe because he was on screen for only a few shots? It was joked that Snarl shouldn't have been part of the SS'86 line for that very reason. Yet his figure existsAllNewSuperRobot wrote: The Secondary Cyclonus (that had more screen time than the fifth Dinobot)

Apparently, the Sweep release happened because they use the wrong/a bad color source for Scourge's deco, with the Sweep having the correct deco for Scourge.AllNewSuperRobot wrote:I'm surprised they didn't release Armada at the same time as the Sweeps to be fair. Both Cyclonus and Scourge are army builders within the context of the Movie. So it does seem like an oversight.

Most of those details are stickers that you have to apply yourself, so the base figure doesn't have them.AllNewSuperRobot wrote:Sabrblade wrote:Some have bought the Selects toy-colors Cyclonus to use as an Armada.
I know, I read that before commenting. But the added decals and blue "ears" bug me with that release. If anything, Selects could be Cyclonus and Armada the other release. But it still isn't ideal. Given that just like the Sweeps, the majority of the colour scheme should look the same.
