Not sure. Only thing I saw regarding his availability was a post from Sentinel_Primal several pages back saying he’d be in stock for pre-orders by months end.

LOL. In all seriousness, the portal designs are part of Legacy's whole "multiversal crossover" backstory, with characters from other universes dimension-hopping through portals over into the series's native G1 universe.

Yeah, it's what made me think of the box idea. How I didn't recognize the portal for what it is when we first saw legacy, I'll never know! :D

Anybody thinking of mix n matching legacy arcee and road rocket? Yes it looks worse than I though. Anyone making a pink legacy arcee? Is it likely to happen?

Found time this morning to put Motormaster into Naked Menasor mode.

Torso is incredibly solid, everything tabbed together nicely (though MM's arms are a little iffy on the back but no one's going to see that.

The legs are ... well they're legs

The arms were a little trickier as there's a couple of joints that need to fold but are quite stiff.

The big downside is the gun (bears NO resemblance to his G1 gun, which really has no bearing as they're going more for cartoon accuracy here) and it's big honking stand from a big honking left over part.

Naked Menasor though is nothing really impressive. So I busted out Drag Strip this afternoon. Found a couple of spots would tab together but not as tight as I've found on other Legacy figures (that being said, still loving the way these Legacy figures are tabbing together so well). It's not a fancy figure, transformation is nothing we haven't really seen before, the shoulders making some poses are little harder.

Instructions on how to attach him in limb mode were a little vague, the fact I'd only seen pictures of him in two pieces made me think it was a case of just pulling him apart. Not so, tab magic is back! Menasor's arm needs to be straight when you lock Drag Strip on (and there's a few locking points too which means he won't easily fall off) and there is a nub that will push on a tab inside that will unlock the joining point. Another neat little engineering trick!

Overall, I'm really liking how Mensaor is shaping up, a massive improvement over the CW version for sure, and makes me hope they do Superion down the track.

Yeah, it's a good enough figure to justify $50, but no more.

What I wish Legacy would have, which we won't get due to SS86, are some voyager Dinobots.

Why VOYAGER Dinobots? :???:
Especially in a line that try to have bots pretty much in scale with each others no matter the continuity.
Maybe that newcomer fem-dinobot, Slash?
I need Dinobots to go with PoTP Grimlock. The other PoTP Dinobots are too small. At least Snarl and Sludge are. I always thought Slag and Swoop were a bit smaller, so the deluxes can pass scale-wise, but the other 2 need to be Grimlock sized for my satisfaction. So either the entire group gets remade down the line (which I'm not expecting considering how recent the PoTP set is) or I find voyager Sludge and Snarl from another line or even 3rd party. But I would prefer a uniform set.

At least, you're set with Ultra Armor Sludge from Cyberverse. He's pretty much voyager sized, with decent poseability, and looks great in both modes.

I'm not sure, but I think there may be PotP dinobots that were "oversized KO'd" too.

How does them making a Voyager Armada Starscream now (which the majority of people seem to be very excited about) prevent them from making a Titan Tidal Wave (from the same show I might add) next year, because it was never going to happen this year after Metroplex was announced? There's absolutely no connection between the two things.

Thanks for the heads up. Unfortunately product just dosen't seem to be moving in my area in general as of late. Legacy deluxe sell well but then they aren't restocked. Voyager Bulkhead and Leaders ( Both Galvatron and G2 Prime) just sit. So I probably won't be seeing MM any time soon. I never saw Rodimus at retail. Also while I did see the Ark at retail last year, it seems the bottom shelf at most Targets in my area are using that space for other brands,or that dumb $70 self transforming Optimus.

As for SS86 Sludge, all my Targets have 4-6 Coronation Starscream. It's not as bad as Siege Shockwave, but it's getting there. I don't expect to see any new leader class anytime soon.
Bucket/Want List: Botcon 2016 Customization Class Ratchet (G2 Deco), or Customization Class Ratchet (Marvel Comics Deco) **would also be willing to pay for an Unpainted Botcon 2016 Ratchet, TT Legends Fortress Head (only) with working Electronics

Wish List of Modern Combiners: Road Caesar, Monstructor & Dinoking (proper size to fiction), Landcross, Guard City, Battle Gaia, & G2 Defensor. Wish List of Titans:Metrotitan,Majin Zarak

I think the only thing keeping Tidal wave out is that there is currently no Armada Megatron. The Megatron/Galvatron of this year has already been used up. If they are going to do Tidalwave, then one would think Hasbro would want to incorporate the combination gimmick they had in Armada. So, once they do Armada Megatron, expect that Tidal Wave will not be far off.

Also, I think when Tidalwave is done, he'll likely be a Commander class. If Hasbro decides not to redo another combiner or throw the torso bot/con into a Commander class category next year, chances of him seeing release should be good.

I'm sure I'm in the minority, but it wouldn't hurt my feelings if the combination gimmick isn't used. After all, there's no Mini-Con coming with Starscream either. I would really love a Titan Class Tidal Wave, but if it's a commander, I'll be content. What I would really love, but most likely won't get, is commander or leader versions of Fortress Maximus and Scorponok, as they appeared in the comics. (Actually Maximus would need to be Commander sized to accommodate the double headmaster gimmick. It would make for a really small Spike, but it would be better than nothing.)
