There's also the thought of, say Breakdown wasn't in the wave 4 tail-end spot so he could be a new mold, who would take that retool spot instead?
-The whole point of this hypothetical would be to get 4 new mold Stunticons, so they're out as options
-Knock Out and Crankcase are already retools, swapping a retool for a retool wouldn't magically give one of them a bigger budget
-Skids has to stay a new mold for Crankcase to exist
-Prime Arcee and Kickback can't be retools of anything from WFC or SS86 before now due to their alt modes, so they have to be new molds to exist
Would people have rather had Tarantulas be a Blackarachnia retool in exchange for Breakdown not being a Wildrider retool? How about Pointblank being a retool of a random WFC car mold that looks nothing like him and wouldn't include the Targetmaster? Elita being an Arcee retool
again, which would also screw over Minerva? Maybe I'm just biased since I'm not getting the Stunticons, but what we got seems like the lesser of these potential evils to me.

Nowhere has "they turn into a Lambo of this exact make" actually been said by HasTak.
And the classic G1 sportscars for those characters' toys were 80's Lambos. They are in indeed approximations of 80's Lambos, just as the recent Jazz, Wheeljack et al are approximations of the other 80's* cars that were in G1.
The original Diaclone releases are also officially designated as the official Lamborghini car from the 80's.
https://www.transformerland.com/wiki/to ... -1-/64934/The new versions are based upon the old versions, which were 80's Lambos, which is why they look like 80's Lambos. The new wave of Stunticons also closely like the original G1 toys, which in turn, looked closely like real 70's/80's vehicles (*or with Bumblebee and/or possibly be some other designs from a much earlier period). That's why this latest version of the last Stunticon sticks out like a sore thumb.
It's not rocket science.
If that's how you want to interpret what Hasbro said, then sure. I'm more willing to go with that logic than "the wiki said it so it must be true", since anyone could make an account and change the wiki.

There's the answer from my inquiry last night, so I guess Breakdown does just only have the ports in his feet because...they felt like retooling the feet to give them to him. Maybe Wildrider was also supposed to have them and something got screwed up, who knows.
