They're rumors until they're officially confirmed, that's just how that works. Same thing with "Nintendo is working on a new Mario game," everyone knows it's happening, there's plenty of supporting evidence, but there's no direct proof yet.

It doesn't look the same as the Takara one, Hasbro probably started afresh to make sure it hit the price point they wanted.
