I find the back to be more fiddly and fragile than 86 Jazz. The weapon is kinda cool but a touch unwieldy when combined.

Ooooffff...
And the fact that it's not Knock-Out, but Knock-Outish doesn't help his case.

Gobots Monstrous
Would love it if they did this, but that's much to extensive of a retool to pull off. Still, feels like there's some inspiration at play between Swoop and Grimlock.

Super hyped for Armada Optimus Prime, and TulioDude's reaction was also something I was looking forward to, lol

I would consider them good design, for their price point. They're definitely fun desk toys, and their ability to combine is excellent, but with that being said, I'm not keen on the core class figures overall. Personally, I'd prefer Hasbro put more focus into the larger classes. I'd rather pay ~$24 for a good deluxe, than paying ~$12 for a tiny core figure with limited articulation.william-james88 wrote:You once talked to me about good design vs bad design, how would you characterize these mini dinos?

100% agree! However, in my opinion, Knockout isn't the worst offender. For me, it's the Legacy Armada Hot Shot... those knees are awful! (at least on my copy)william-james88 wrote:I really hate when the knees can easily be disconnected.

If anyone puts out a new Puzzler that doesn't suck, I'll be all over it. As for this guy, he doesn't look as bad as I expected but he doesn't look good enough to waste money on. I have a Micro Monstructor, I don't need another one.

I'm glad its coming for those that want it. I have zero interest, but knowing Hasbro, they will make the trailer Airlock compatible just to spite me.

It's the original. Though, it might just be sitting balanced on top of the figure, rather than actually attached to it.o.supreme wrote:So is that the original Overload or a new one? Super interesting if it is compatible with an almost 20 year old toy.

It looks like the original one. Though no way to know if it's actually attached and not just balanced on him.
As for the rest of the pictures. Damn, that Prime is looking mighty nice.
MSRP $90?
I'm definitely picking that one up.
We'll need to start saving some money for him.

I'm gonna have to disagree. Knockout is o.k. He';s not great ir fantastic, but he's fine for what he is. I've had no issues with his knees. What's not cohesive about him?

You didn't really see much talk probably because that toy was not good. I was super disappointed in that Knock Out, was from the moment it was revealed. They removed everything in that robot mode that was actually "Knock Out". They even screwed up the head.
Armada Optimus Prime looks AMAZING!! WOW!!!!!!!!
Also, I thought I saw it somewhere, but I like it when combiners are thick and thicc. They look more muscular, and more likely to take advantage of their size. If you take CW Defensor and replace Blades with the deluxe Groove, his proportions are basically perfect for me.

Bandai isn't doing the GoBot era of Machine Robo, they have a new line called Unit Roborn. Action Toys and now Moderiod (or something like that) are doing toys based on Revenge of Cronos. Action toys haven't had a new release in a LONG time though.

Agreed on the bulkiness of the combiners, but I do think the Hotspot/Onslaught mold needs updated. In torso mode it's kinda stiff and limited. Not nearly as bad as the Motormaster mold, but worse than the Cyclonus/Silverbolt one.D-Maximal_Primal wrote:I like it when combiners are thick and thicc. Hopefully if Legacy gives us more full-sized combiners, Defensor is next.

Outside of Menasor, I am perfectly OK with us leaving the combiners alone for a while that were done in CW and PotP.
If we must do a combiner a year, I'd like to see combiners not yet done, such as a full sized Monstructor, and maybe expand outside of G1 and do new Beast, RiD2001, or Energon combiners.
