However, to Get Icepick out of that mold as well, I dont think is possible (same goes for the rest of the team). Of course, who knows what wizardry Hasbro and TT could come up with, but whatever they are working on for the future, My collection wont feel complete until I have proper sized versions of BOTH variants of this combiner team. Pretender shells aren't necessary, but they wouldn't be rejected either.

And that’s by no means a complaint.
Another aspect for me is I decided a few years ago that I’m not going to have any new purchases stored in containers. Similar to “buying just to have more”, it’s stupid to buy something that gets packed/stored away.
I’m sure some can justify this habit, even if it includes getting stuff out every few months.
But I can’t justify that anymore.
Hell, even the 4 TR reissued Headmasters I bought that are still sealed are on display between a couple shelves (I love the packaging).

But yeah, the countdown is on.
A dozen-ish more figures over the next year & a half & then I’ll happily dip.
It’s been a decent run, but all good things…

I got my Tarn figure last week, and got to mess with him this weekend. He is just as good as everyone was saying he was. He is really solid, and he is really good. They finally did him, and they nailed him. Just like Jhiaxus, this was a character who needed and deserved a toy, and they killed it.

Now I gotta decide if I buy a 2nd Tarn or not for the Cyberverse shelf.

Would take a lot of retooling to get the proper Monster Modes (some more than others)... But I'd be very pleasantly surprised if they did. For now, I'm betting on Dinoking or maybe a G2 redeco.

It's looking like he will be my favorite figure of the year as well, if I don't get Armada Prime, which I don't plan to. Amazon needs to get going and send him.

And I can't help but imagine how great he would look repainted into silver and black, with a new head, as War Within Megatron, for us Dreamwave fans.

I think people forget just how big and successful Armada was. For many fans, this was THEIR G1.

I certainly don't. It was, though, the time when I just wasn't collecting much of the modern stuff besides Classics because it was totally geared to children (as it should have been). Those kids are adults now, and they totally deserve to get new versions of their favorite characters.

From a design standpoint many of them were cool and I may pick some of them up to put on my alternate universe shelf, but I don't have the same attachment they would. Still, this is the perfect opportunity to point out whatever keeps it going is good for us all.

I had no idea, so I had to look at my own Core Sludge and Slag. Was this missing in the directions? Anyway, I keep the flap down as it "covers" more (for lack of a better term). Having a unified waist color is not that important when there are other color inconsistencies.


Lastly, about CC Armada Prime. I've tried to look at all pictures available. Has anyone seen any potential for an AIRLOCK connection? I haven't seen one, and I hope there isn't, so I dont feel coerced to get this. I think it looks great, and I'm glad for everyone who wants it. It just dosen't fit into my current collection.

Was this in the instructions? The flap doesn't sit flush in position so I can't see it working well.

I was surprised to find Metalhawk at Target this morning. They had Twincast as well, but didn't get it. Kind of crazy after 6 months of only seeing Jhiaxus, I've seen 3 different Voyager waves in the last month.

I was just in my Target on Monday, and they have yet to stock any new Legacy. I saw the SS Core Wheelie and Laserbeak, those were new, as well as a single Legacy shockwave, but nothing else. Walmarts are still full of the wave 1 deluxe restock and Soundwaves and Jhiaxus'

Yeah I gave up on Walmart months ago. I make no effort to go out of my way, but each time I grocery shop I literally see the same stuff
( I posted a pic is the SS thread yesterday). I know there is no evidence, but it almost does like when Walmart got the exclusive Beast Wave and Velocitron sublime, they opted not to ship any more standard Legacy.

While Walmarts still have wave 1 deluxes and wave 2 voyagers, I don't see them getting anything new anytime soon for mainline generations.

Target is at least trying to catch up, although it is random and scattered.

Late to the game for this one, but I've heard that there is some issue with Legacy Metroplex's shoulders breaking. Has anyone heard of this?

Haven't heard of this either. In fact he arguably has the tightest ratchets of any Titan to date. The shoulders, arms, legs, knees, everywhere it counts, except in one crucial place. (abs)

... And that could turn into a problem. If a spring inside a ratcheted joint is too strong, as in prevents movement too well, the housing may give way before the spring does. Something similar happened with TR Trypticon.

Does anybody remember the case breakdown with the Wave 01 Voyagers? Some people have started to get and have gotten their Tarns from Amazon and it got me wondering about the case breakdowns, Tarn is so dark I wonder if it'll start to shelf warm.

I believe it is 2 Leo and 1 Tarn.

Confirmed. Almost every Target in my area got at least 1 case of the first wave of Legacy Evolution . I grabbed the first Leo Prime I could find, but with 2 Leo's to 1 Tarn, I don't think Tarn will have any problems, unless the retailers order in gross excess like they did for the Jhiaxus/Soundwave assortment.

What's crazy is that for all the hate SW got for not being a reissue of the Netflix version, this "clean" version of a 3 year old Siege toy sold very well, while Jhiaxus just sits around. Not saying he is a bad toy by any means, just that too many were ordered.

Speaking of distribution, my local Walmart today have:

2 SS86 Sweeps,
2 SS86 Wreckgar,
2 Legacy Prime Arcee,
3 1-step Cyberverse Repugnus,
A lot of 1st wave SS cores, 1st wave Legacy core, a single SS86 core Sam, a lot of legion Cyberverse,
And a row of Warrior Earthsparks.

That's it. That's all.

Appart the row of Warrior Earthsparks, it's been like this for WEEKS.

....so I can't remember exactly what my first Transformer I ever received was, but I know it was one of the following:
-RiD Prowl (the blue one, which I did not learn until years later wasn't his normal colors)
-Armada Powerlinx Cyclonus
-Armada "Bendy" Optimus Prime
And I don't need to narrow those down to know that the first TF media I ever consumed was Armada.
...so seeing this Commander Class Armada Prime is, uh, doing some things for and to my brain.

I REALLY want to try to wait and see if they put it out in his color scheme from his final duel with Galvatron in the finale, since I love the look of this figure and have always liked this design, but I actually prefer Cybertron's Prime design as my default Prime (which I have via Siege GUOP), and so I would like to be able to use this guy as a separate character (which, with that particular color scheme, I could take the name of that random 2007 movie OP repaint and call him Nightwatch).

AT THE SAME TIME, every time I see another picture of this guy I lose more of my resolve to wait and want to just grab this version immediately and I guess excuse it via multiverse nonsense (which I have been keeping my collection mostly free of until now, I've just gone the angle of one big shared universe with one character per name).

The figure hasn't even been ANNOUNCED yet, and this is already where my brain is at.
...April's gonna be a time for me.

This being Optimus Prime he probably stands the best chance of all Commanders of getting repainted. I really think we we'll get the blue version at some point.

I also can't believe Hasbro hasn't at least planned or pitched to a store a repaint for Galaxy Upgrade OP. I'd like a Galaxy Force OP deco, but it also wouldn't surprise me if we got a Premium Finish GUOP to go with the new Commander.

I'm still surprised, a Rodimus Unicronus repaint minus the trailer of Kingdom RP hasn't yet been released.
Also, no comic book Primus either.

The only Commander to get a repaint at this point is Jetfire in Selects SG line.


Menasor's only repaint option is G2 and since we got a somewhat G2 Dragstrip, I'm sure it's only a matter of time before we get the rest.

I could see them repaint Armada Prime into his Powerlinx colors eventually. But not for a couple of years after this one is actually released.
