Oh! Is that Hauler? I thought there were two Hooks in that picture! What is that picture from?
Unite Warriors and Legends are, yeah.Powermaster Swag wrote:Sabrblade wrote:Unite Warriors Devastor's pack-in chapter of Unite Warriors Offshot.Powermaster Swag wrote:Sabrblade wrote:I just realized that Hauler in that pic is drawn like Grapple's altmode's cartoon model but with Hauler's cartoon cab (and obviously colored in his toy deco), so if Takara were to ever do a MP Roadhauler, this could give us an idea of how they'd do it (retooled cartoon-accurate cab w/ green toy deco).

Ok. That makes sense, are all the Japanese Transformers coming with comics these days?

Which themselves are a spin off of a webcomic series iirc.Seibertron wrote: The Legends figures come with a 2 page comic that are also part of their instructions.
In a way, yes. The webcomic and pack-in comic are intertwined with one another, with the webcomic containing prologues and epilogues for the events of each pack-in comic, as well as additional plots spread out in between each pack-in comic. Essentially, the webcomic tells the main ongoing story, but also directs itself to set up placements for each pack-in comic to slot in between certain chapters of the webcomic, to make a complete narrative whole across both the online and physical chapters.ScottyP wrote:Which themselves are a spin off of a webcomic series iirc.Seibertron wrote: The Legends figures come with a 2 page comic that are also part of their instructions.

Their wheels are positioned differently in their torso as per their model sheets.
Grapple has extra parts and details on the back of his legs because the designer of his model cel had worked from a photo and mistook the crane for part of the legs.
The disks on their arms are in different places.
It's TOO adorable Grim. Adorable to the point of irresistible!! Takara is taking my money againBig Grim wrote:His happy face IS kinda adorable!
Short answer, yes. I have no real attachment to G1 Season 2, and not many toys from that season either! Two many episodes maybe?!Cyberpath wrote:itscramtastic, your display discriminates against S2 characters??![]()

I really pick and choose what I watch from that season..
THAT SAID!!
One of my fav episodes was The Master Builders, but I'd still never buy HoistThe only Grapferno figure I've ever had was Solar Storm Grappel (misspelled on purpose like the box!) from the Reveal the Shield line. He made his way to Cobotron when I first started selling off figures. I wouldn't mind this guy as his replacement (but I'd rather have Hauler)!!
Too many in only that I can't focus on what ones I want to likeCyberpath wrote:Too many episodes?? More like not enough! S2 was the most iconic!itscramtastic wrote:Short answer, yes. You'd rather have a "made-up" character over someone who appeared on the show? Just when you think you know a guy.![]()

The Master Builders is amazing.
Hey Takara, you were brilliant folding the ladder and crane into their backs, maybe you can come up with a magic solution to my limited shelf space? Not that I'm complaining!

Hauler was there man!! Cliffjumper didn't yell at him to pull Hound up if he was made up!! Where'd he go after that though?! The same place Ratchet's medical platform went, right into an MP release 32 years later!!![]()
Can you imagine if Takara release display stuff with collectors in mind?! I'd have no money ever again.
Back to Grapple..if I get one of the two it's him. I may start allocating funds!!
