william-james88 wrote:Well, this came out of the blue. Takara just revealed their next entry in the Masterpiece line: MP-39+ Spinout. This toy is a TakaraTomy Mall exclusive. For those unaware, that doesn't mean you won't be able to get him, it just means you won't be able to get him from Amazon Japan or other retailers that usually have a better price. So you'll have to order from domestic importers who will charge basically the same price as indicated, which is 13200 Yen (a little under $125 USD).
This is an homage to the Diaclone Sunstreaker. It uses the same head as Cordon and seems ot be in the same shade of red as Sideswipe. So you get two very similar looking vehicles which transform completely differently. It's a pretty cool effect, as you'll see in the images below. This toy comes out end November this year.

Yes. Now go to your room and don't play with yourself.
Randy, I saw your post and sent it to the news staff. They simply created a new thread out of this news instead of adding it to general thread because, here, pretty much every MP gets their own thread for news posts.Powered Convoy wrote:Posted this to the Masterpiece general thread about an hour before you. I think it's because the car mode isn't the police version.MaverickPrime wrote:Wait, why is he MP 39+? If he's using the Cordon tooling, shouldn't he be 42+?

Except, as I said in the other thread, really he's an alternate version of Sideswipe despite using Sunstreaker's working name. Why do I say this? The full versions of Sideswipe and Susntreaker's original bios describe Sideswipe as having features of the "Super Tuning" Countach and Sunstreaker as being the unmodified New Countach.JelZe GoldRabbit wrote:ZeldaTheSwordsman wrote:I think it's because the car mode isn't the police version.MaverickPrime wrote:Wait, why is he MP 39+? Or... Deep down, it's treated as an alternate version of Sunstreaker (which he technically is from a development point of view), who has MP-39 as his ID.
