They rectified that in Ghost in the Machine.... did they? The TFWiki says it was blown away beyond Cybertron's gravitational pull on one page, and that it's blown back into orbit in another.

And if you think about it... its a pretty damn good "No Tresspassing" sign, especially of other races know of Unicron. I wouldn't F with cybertron If I saw that orbiting it.
