Yeah, I've long considered the RotF Leader mold to be more of a Masterpiece than many actual Masterpiece figures so this is gonna have to be something pretty damn special. Love the new MP Bumblebee over the previous Leader molds he got so maybe they can improve on Prime.

I'm totally down for this. While the ROTF mold is great, the mold has really been pushed to its limit by this point. Plus the MP line strives for greater accuracy and functionality, so MPM Prime is almost guaranteed to be better.

As somebody who's never owned any of the Leader Prime molds aside from AD-31 (which I kinda regret selling at this point), I highly anticipate this figure.

The TRU listings had it marked down as an exclusive (which doesnt surprise me, they have the MP exclusives ever since the relaunch of the MP line)

Don't forget that this figure might not just be better engineered and designed, but also larger than ROTF, because it'll be in Masterpiece scale like MPM-3 BB is (~1/32), which I think the ROTF Optimus mold might be a bit too short for.

It's the reverse, ROTF will be the bigger one. Hasbro and Takara both stated that this MPM line s supposed to mirror the scale of the MP line, so carbots are the same size and so are Faction Leaders. So since BB is made to be the same size as MP Sideswipe and Wheeljack, MPM Optimus should be the same size as MP Optimus.
So shorter than the ROTF mold

No, you're right - just didn't occur to me. And yeah, Bee having incorporated gear is perfectly fine with me.

I am hoping Prime comes with all or most of the weapons he used in the first movie, which I don't think was that many to begin with.

Actually, you're right, at least for movie 1-3 Prime. I was just thinking that, because MP-10 Optimus' height in-scale is 25.7' (up to the ears), that MPM Optimus would be taller, because I was thinking he was 32' tall. However, that is his height in AoE; in Movie 1-DOTM, he's only 28'.

Yeah, I believe Prime only had his energon blades and ion cannon in TFTM.

So if the toy has the blades, then, I wonder if it will try to incorporate them into the build or instead have them as separate parts.

Are we sure about that? According to this random scale chart I found, Prime should be almost twice as tall as Bee (and taller than MP-10) if they want to keep them in scale. Do we have the numbers for MPM Bee yet?

They dont want to keep them in scale, they just want to replicate the other MP sizes. Thats what they said they were striving for.

To be fair, I do recall someone saying that they were following the normal MP prices where the prices of carbots get horribly inflated but the bigger releases remain relatively unchanged.

No, the guy who first posted the prototypes was "Vector Sigma" on Facebook. The one that posted these CG images is the same person that posted the the ones above for the unofficial AOE/TLK Optimus Prime, Alucard Lee. Even his post for this one is just speculating, not confirming. I just don't find the guy reliable.
