there is alreayd a perfect option for thatNexus Knight wrote:Oooooooookay, so this may be my mind scrambled from this hellish heat around these parts, but what exactly is the gimmick for this line I need to be excited for?
Tiny titan masters that can plug into the chest of deluxes, arms of voyagers and matrices of leaders to give them power. They are the new power masters to show the power of the 12 primes.Carnivius_Prime wrote:i feel really stupid for having thought that rodimus was the voyager i'd been so wanting for ages. Just gone from such an excited high to a crushing low. meh...
Or you could be like me and live the dream everyday
And think of it this way, if he was a voyager, Hasbro would have made him as tall as Springer anyway so you still wouldnt have been happy.

Exactly, and given the alt mode, I feel like Hasbro is killing two birds with one stoneo.supreme wrote:Flashwave wrote:My rely on the last page theorizes he's meant to be the CW Sideswipe we never got.
Jazz and Sideswipe were the only 1984 basic Autobots not released in either CW or UW. Well we have Jazz now, and hopefully a Sideswipe at some point to complete the series.

No, I already stated I don't find MP Hot Rod to go at all well with 30th Springer because the styles don't mesh at all. Springer's got a lot more detail and edges and MP Hot Rod is too slick, plain (cartoon accurate) and slightly too large and that Arcee is far too tiny for either one of them.
See I own KO MP Hot Rod, real 30th Springer and upscaled KO Arcee. Springer and Hot Rod together don't work for me. Arcee is oddly somewhere in between in terms of detail and cartoon accuracy so she's in the middle like a buffer of styles.
I also own Titans Return Galvatron and he reeeeally doesn't work with MP Hot Rod in the slightest even in your excellent photographs. Besides, Hot Rod shouldn't be the size of Galvatron. He's meant to be smaller. And Rodimus Prime would be Galvatron's size only now HE'S TOO FRICKIN' BIG!!! argh...

You dont understand, I use MP Hot Rod as a classics Rodimus Prime. he looks far moer accurate than any Rodimus prime classics toy we would ever get (as has been proven yet again).
Carnivius_Prime wrote:I understood that just fine. Except he doesn't fit with the much more detailed mainline figures such as that TR Galvatron. Very different style and Hot Rod or Rodimus comes across as much too plain. That's pretty much the main reason I been wanting Hasbro to do an all new Rodimus revamp for years and they finally done it, only too bloody big for what I needed it for. I never wanted G1 cartoon accuracy (Rodimus' robot mode was just a lazy upscale of Hot Rod despite the vehicles being vastly different). Wanted a total upgrade.
william-james88 wrote:But TR Galvatron is pulled straight from the cartoon so an upgraded Rodimus wouldnt match.

Q&A:
•MP Beast Wars? Stay tuned.
•Someone wants a Bludgeon toy. “Stay tuned”. Teasing as decoy suit.
•Decepticons in MP movie line? Stay tuned.
•Remaining combiners? We hear you. Stay tuned.
•No plans for new Nautica mold
•Plans for that new Starscream mold? “Next question” with laughs
•Siege on Cybertron set, more were ordered
•Hasbro aware of Trypticon hip issue, seems isolated, engineering looking into it
•Q&A and panel over
•All and maybe more shown off at booth soon

Oh wow. I just saw this. My opinion of this figure just plummeted. What a design fail. I don't like the vehicle mode anyway, and I already have Hot Rod, my option now is to get a trailer by itself and kitbash it so Rodimus looks acceptable in robot mode. If I bother getting it at all.Sabrblade wrote:Roddy got back(pack)!
