Wave 1 pretty much all sold out in my area, wave 2 slowly started trickling in, now were going back to wave 1, and its shelf warming..., at least this is the case with walmart, I don't think Target is having the same issues.

unfortunately though, this has the residual effect of stores not ordering any new product, because they chose not to order more wave 2, and instead ordered more wave 1 it will go slowly, and take a clearance sale to get rid of, instead of ordering more wave 2 (which is clearly available since they already had it), which would sell much better, likely not go on clearance, and ultimately make the store more $$...
william-james88 wrote:We know for a fact that this is how they operate since they go by SKU and you have 1 SKU per class per line.
o.supreme wrote:Of course I find it odd that we've only had this problem in recent years. Prior to 2005 (the last time I was collecting), I never had a problem eventually finding any TF toy I was looking for.
william-james88 wrote:Anyways, this SKU system seems so crucial to modern day ordering that it was even part of the TRU mandate as a key strategy when they were thinking of how to be better before everything went to hell:

then that is a terribly flawed system. Sure it may work for food, or clothing, or other perishable items, but toys are unique 9as we know). They should be ordered according to UPC (each toys is unique). Of course I'm not one to change the system.
