Ah ****, now it means I have to wait again to see what takara tomy has up their sleeves instead of just buying the hasbro product right away.

That was my plan all along, no worries though, if these hit store shelves by end of year, (probably wont hit my area until a month or so later...)should reveal something by then hopefully, so for a completist like myself, I will know which limbs are unique to Hasbro by then so those will be the only ones I need to purchase at that time

Dagon wrote:If "extras" means combiner limbs that don't belong to a dedicated team like the Terrorcons, then we've already seen this 'extras' plan in action with all the combiner Autobots in Combiner Wars. Mirage isn't part of a combiner team, they just made one up for him to join. In this sense, Mirage is an extra.

What would have made you completely satisfied?

Black Hat wrote:Myself I still want to see more "proper" Pretender updates, like ROTF Bludgeon- that is, "regular" TFs with the shells incorporated into their robot modes. These little Prime Masters are interesting, but I really don't want this to be their "definitive" updates.
AiPT!: The Japanese Masterpiece line tends to model figures after their cartoon appearance. With the Generations line, do you try to make them resemble the cartoon or their original toys?
Warden: Well, for Titans Return, we largely focused on the toy version, but for Power of the Primes, the last chapter of the Prime Wars Trilogy, we’re kind of focusing on what works for the toy. So in the case of the Dinobots, we’re focusing on the Generation 1 cartoon series. So you’ll see Swoop has his blue chestplate–that’s based more on the cartoon. It’s a case-by-case basis and a lot of it comes from coming to events like this and talking to fans or reading online and seeing what they think.

I absolutely don't see what you mean.
Mirage is part of the same team as BattleCore Optimus, Sunstreaker, Prowl and Ironhide .
Yes it's not a G1-themed-named team, but it's an official team, which forms Optimus Maximus, Hasbro communicated on it and such.
Contrary to Dreadwing and starscream, who - FOR THE MOMENT - do not seems to belong to a dedicated team, to hte point that Starscream box art shows him with an abominus limb.
RodimusRex wrote:o.supreme wrote:JelZe GoldRabbit wrote:Ok, let's look at King Starscream here:
Observation: Dreadwind is an arm... and he uses Rippersnapper as a leg.
Hypothesis: He's a spare torso like regular CW Optimus Prime, Cyclonus, and non-box set Scattershot.
Conclusion:Will Hopefully make a new Combiner for Starscream.
Do we know if CW limbs are compatible?
I could see that Ghost Starscream tooling being issued as Thundercracker, Skywarp, Sunstorm, and perhaps Slipstream?

Kurona wrote:Hopefully we are right about Jazz etc. being spare limbs because that would make this line a lot less predictable. Much as I loved CW and much as I love it getting a second go, I'm not gonna pretend like there isn't a huge flaw -- the Deluxes will end up very, very samey and simple even if not sharing the same mold; and due to being in teams will make them very predictable. I'm not saying this is a horrific thing that means this shouldn't have happened; of course not, because if we want these characters, it's hard to see how else it could be done -- it's a necessary evil. But it is a flaw nonetheless and it does serve to make things a little dull.
So throwing in things that aren't meant to be a part of any Combiner like Darkwing would be a very nice surprise to break up the monotony a bit

yeah, thats what I think.
I prefer the term space log, personally. But it's not like it hasn't happened before.Rated X wrote:Deluxe primals alt mode looks like a log turd.
