Yeah, Hasbro couldnt care less who was what before, its about them changing it up. Like Blurr being a headmaster and Skullgrin now being a decoy for the avatar of a Prime. I wold instead look more at to themes rather than story beats and the Megapretenders lend themselves very well to this evolution idea in terms of a toy concept.

I have took a night to sleep on it, like others. Still wish Buster and Hydra were combining voyagers, but they look awesome though. I only own Slingshot of the Aerialbots(hes my fav) so they are new molds to me.

Coming around on Rodimus. Yeah voyager would be more classicly sized, though I can see the reason for the leader size. WIth the likes of PMOP, Ultra Magnus, etc. the leader size works. If he was smaller it would cheapen the "Primeness" of the whole thing. The deluxe Hot Rod looks sweet too. But I am still going for Legends Hot Rod, as in my collection(personal head-canon set during Masterforce, with a couple changes) Optimus is still Prime and Hot Rod has a targetmaster.

Starscream is pretty good, like others have said only problem is proportions. At least we finally get Seekers in voyager that look pretty good. I may buy Skywarp(I use Planet-X Starscream, IGear IDW Thundercracker and was waiting for Maketoys CD Skywarp),as he is only Seeker I need because of 3rd party.

Beachcomber, again, is a homerun just like Brawn was.

Cant wait to see that Optimus Primal. I really hope he has a good deluxe figure with cool bot and gorilla modes. Optimal suit is not as important to me. Gonna go ahead and guess we get another Optimus Prime/Ginrai in this Leader/armour style plus THunderwing, Thunder-Clash and Star Saber.

Dinobots should be interesting now that we see all these gimmicks. Maybe they will still turn out great. I like the Pretenders idea so far. My one want out of Power of the Primes is a super sweet deluxe Punch/Counterpunch with no added gimmick besides both robot modes..oh and the heads look/mold from TF: Headmaster Punch/CP.

If A Dinobot Combiner is in fact in the works, which many fans such as myself would rejoice at, I'm pretty sure it will NOT be The Beast...this has to appeal to kids as well ya know.

Has there been any info revealed about when the clones are expected to hit Walgreens? TFSource has them in stock and they were shown at SDCC. Wondering if I should make a run on my lunch break.

Usually I try not to quote from TF wiki, but in this case, I think it can make us all feel better...

As far as Hasbro is concerned, "There never was a Dinobot combiner." While the most likely explanation for this comment is that this particular Hasbro representative is unaware of an obscure UK only DVD pack-in comic it's also possible Hasbro has tried to erase "The Beast Within" from canon entirely using special canon cannons.

A Legit, well developed Hasbro Product would furthermore ensure we never have to see that other thing again.

Dont. These have yet to appear at any walgreens in the US. Only go if you have something else you need to get at Walgreens. We will news when there is a sighting.

Jokes about the Beast aside, I'm not opposed to the concept of a Dinobot Combiner, but I wouldn't want it to come at the expense of quality individual Dinobots. Most of them have never received a proper update.

You know, I quite like this deluxe Hot Rod. The Titans Return version is great, but something about this one just hits all the right notes AND gets the things right that the TR version got wrong, like some of the coloring and super tall shoulders. It'll be interesting to see what Takara does with their decoing expertise, but that'll probably have to wait for another 12 to 18 months.

The Beast within is in my opinion one of the best fiction we have gotten in the franchise and The Beast is my favorite combiner so I wouldn't mind seeing him.

well...if indeed Darkwing, Dreadwind & Jazz are combiners(with hopefully Starscream as the torso) then anything's possible? but i hope they also then include Predaking, Piranacon, Abominus & Monstructor...which CW ended up not doing

Bad news, Starscream has been confirmed to not be a combiner. The arms for storing Prime Masters.

Can you please show the quote where someone from hasbro says he is not a combiner? if there is no quote form hasbro then its not a confirmation.

Something has to be hidden in Starscream's torso. It sure isnt alt mode kibble and thats a lot of space wasted if there is no combiner head or something in there.

I'm looking forward to Starscream i'v been waiting for voyager seekers to fit in with my classic Megs and wfc Soundwave. I'll prob love Starscream weather he is a combiner or not! I don't like his arms at all, but ill prob get used to them.

I'm sorry, your mention of combiner ports in the feet is not from HAsbro, so it doesn't count.

In seriousness, hopefully the head turns around, so it's not so obvious and stupidly visible.

IF there will be a Dinobot gestalt, an idea I am in favor of, then I hope it's done right scale-like. Just because Grimlock is the leader, it doesn't mean he has to be the torso. Sludge is the largest, he should be the torso, with Grimlock and Snarl as legs and Swoop and Slag as arms. Maybe have Swoop's wings mount on the back like Divebomb's on Predaking.
