That's all on Takara's side of things, though. The current Hasbro team has little-to-no involvement in the main Masterpiece line (the Masterpiece Movie Series line, however, seems like a joint venture between the two companies).

Their sibling relationship is in Optimus Prime #10. Jhiaxus' converting her is in her spotlight issue.

Considering that a Legends class made 2# on the list, I wouldn't think so.

Its maybe the aesthetic. In terms of transformations and overal toys, he is one of my personal faves from wave 1.

Smyths here (ireland) have grimlock and starscream due to go on sale the end of February on their website.

Not a sighting i know but at least ya see the price €28.

And the deluxe swoop and slag are €19

Which is a lot cheaper than titan returns figs went for.

According to the Irish SMYTHS site, the deluxes are due to be released some time between the 22nd and 31st January, but no sign of them yet in the Waterford store. of course Ken Black is a spin-off of SMYTHS.

Also I was surprised to see the Prime Masters available given SMYTHS/Ken Black never sold the Titan Masters

yeah i wasnt expecting em to get them either. it cost me 8.90 to import leige maximo from the states so if i can pick up the set for 7 quid a piece im all for that ! its amazing how detailed they are for such small fig- literally half the size of a legion fig- and ive really taken to them ( i was just gonna get the cons ones but seeing as bots like grimlock dont come with much by the way of weaponry im gonna load him up with them.)

Yeah, they are great. I am sort of regretting not picking up Skullgrin, but I'll probably pick him up later when hopefully they start appearing in more stores. My only problem with the Prime Masters are the actual Prime Masters, turning into a box isn't as cool as a head and they are actually based on the Pretender robots not the Primes.

I don't know. I have Slash and her transformation is very much like Dinobot's. I can see that same engineering applied to a larger scale with the tail detaching to form a weapon and hopefully the dino arms folding in along the back (larger scale creates space for extra transformation joint). He'd have a faux chest with his raptor head hiding inside his back but that's the only way it works. Just add his sword and decide if he should be deluxe or voyager (I predict deluxe but I know a lot of fans want voyager). I think it will happen, maybe in the next line, maybe the line after that? When is the 25th anniversary?


Beast Wars evolution Megatron would be cool, and with Optimus Primal as one leader it makes sense, but I guess it's not happening. Any idea if PotP is going 6 waves and if Star Saber will be an evolution leader seeing as he was part of the vote and is perfect for this gimmick?


Also, I know way back somewhere there is information of which Prime Masters are coming out in wave 2 and maybe 3. Can someone link me there or repost that info with pics if possible?


Finally, the decoy armor make for great target masters. I hope to get 6-8 Prime Masters when all is said and done even if that means breaking my rule of sticking with weird faces, especially if Bludgeon turns out great.

I haven't gotten Optimus yet, he'll come in wave 2 with Dark Rodders for me. And Slash is a great Dinobot, the best of them from wave 1. She beats out Swoop because while both have fun transformations and look cool, her Raptor mode is just a hair better than Swoop's pterodactyl mode, and for some reason I really really love her shoulders.

Pretty much this. So, to sort of explain the list:
Rodimus is awesome, the gimmick is really fun, the prime mode and space winnebago modes are awesome, he is fun to mess with, he is properly complex without being Bullcrap difficult, and his colors are wicked.
Slash and Swoop are great dinobots, Slash being Swoop mentioned above
Jazz was my first deluxe and he is fun, love the alt mode
the 3 prime masters are fun and hit my Pretender buttons pretty well. they got ranked on which I like better, and all 3 are serving as weapons at the moment
Grimlock's chest doesn't want to stay together in robot mode and he doesn't have a sword, good otherwise
Beach is a bit boring, but still some fun, and some great sculpt work
Starscream's alt mode lets him down, but I love the other 2 modes
Dreadwind is somewhat new, but still a lot of the same. Love the paint work, will probably like him more with Blackwing when I can combine them
Slug is sort of boring and a bit too round for me
Windcharger is a lot like Beach, except he doesn't hav the cool sculpting, alt mode, or colors. He's very bland.

I've been enjoying the Prime Masters -- especially Metalhawk/Vector Prime! But where's Bludgeon?

speaking of bludgeon, Bodrock, did you get the other bludgeon that came out in 2017?

ok, so is there something I'm missing? - on BBTS, pre-orders for Snarl, Sludge, and Blackwing are sold out. . Why would you commit to pay more, for a toy you wont get until June, rather than just wait for the pre-order for the same versions that will probably be coming in Mach/April and will be 30% less expensive?

The G1 incarnation is even more expensive now, so I'm hoping his Prime Master doesn't disappoint. Like Elita-1, though, why have we not seen a final production shot?

Slash is easily top 5 of the PotP line for me, so far.
