Munkky wrote:Lunatic Prime wrote:So an Evolution BW Megatron is pretty unlikely to come, I guess
I'd rather have Thunderwing, because the Evolution gimmick would work really well for him.
That's all on Takara's side of things, though. The current Hasbro team has little-to-no involvement in the main Masterpiece line (the Masterpiece Movie Series line, however, seems like a joint venture between the two companies).Lunatic Prime wrote:At least they get some love in the Masterpiece line
Shadowman wrote:This is Sabrblade we're talking about. His ability to store trivial information about TV shows is downright superhuman.

Swoop over Slash?D-Maximus_Prime wrote:Alright, so after having plenty of time to mess with them, here is how I rank PotP wave 1 figures, from my favorite to least favorite:
Rodimus Prime
Slash
Swoop
Jazz
Metalhawk
Skullgrin
Cloudburst
Grimlock
Beachcomber
Starscream
Dreadwind
Slug
Windcharger
This is not saying the ones towards the bottom are bad, but the ones up at the top are far more fun. The top 3 really are awesome figures, and Rodimus Prime has become my favorite PotP figure to date!
Too many fictionsD-Maximus_Prime wrote:Lunatic Prime wrote:Hotconvoy wrote:That would be galvatron. Galvtronus is the cyclonus combiner. Fyi
Galvatron's former name was Galvatronus in the old days in the IDW comics.
And Arcee is his sister![]()

(We definitely need a smiley/emoticon for a mind explosion)
Have to jump in here: wrong. In IDW, Galvatron was always Galvatron. He named a combiner he made Galvatronus, but he was always named Galvatron.

And where (which comic/issue) has that been told
Why did you put Windcharger on the bottom of the list? Because he's a Legend class and he's simple compared to the others?D-Maximus_Prime wrote:Alright, so after having plenty of time to mess with them, here is how I rank PotP wave 1 figures, from my favorite to least favorite:

They were seen and purchased at Ken Black Toys in Wexford, Ireland for €7 each. Leokearon goes on to mention that they also saw Skullgrin but did not purchase him. Transformers Power of the Primes Leader Class Optimus Prime and Rodimus were also available for for €53 at the same store. Here are some pics of the Prime Masters purchased.
If you spot any cool new Transformers figures or products, please let us know and use the sightings page!
Smyths here (ireland) have grimlock and starscream due to go on sale the end of February on their website.
Not a sighting i know but at least ya see the price €28.
And the deluxe swoop and slag are €19
Which is a lot cheaper than titan returns figs went for.
According to the Irish SMYTHS site, the deluxes are due to be released some time between the 22nd and 31st January, but no sign of them yet in the Waterford store. of course Ken Black is a spin-off of SMYTHS.
Also I was surprised to see the Prime Masters available given SMYTHS/Ken Black never sold the Titan Masters
yeah i wasnt expecting em to get them either. it cost me 8.90 to import leige maximo from the states so if i can pick up the set for 7 quid a piece im all for that ! its amazing how detailed they are for such small fig- literally half the size of a legion fig- and ive really taken to them ( i was just gonna get the cons ones but seeing as bots like grimlock dont come with much by the way of weaponry im gonna load him up with them.)
heres the link to the smyths site for others that want to check it out. only the deluxes and voyagers up so far but as they add as they go that doesnt mean no prime masters.

I was looking for this one lately but there's no e-version available and printed versions are too expensive including shipping.

Tell me about it, I still need a few from that era.
So slash is good yes? Because of all you people going on about it I'm about to cave in and order it for myself...and maybe the Prime masters...and the Dinobots...
Skritz wrote:I'd say "I suppose I now know how Geewunners feel when a character is recast" but frankly no reimagined Beast Wars character in Animated (Waspinator and Blackarachnia) had their original VA and both were quite good. Maybe it's because, as terrible and as much as I don't care too much about the Machinima shows, that the PotP Optimus Primal figure is functionally intended to be the 'same' character in a way. Or at least same continuity family. Much like G1 Optimus I can't imagine a different voice coming out of that character. Peter Cullen is Prime and Gary Chalk is Primal.
Maybe its just the nostalgia speaking and because I had a faint hope Chalk would get a chance to retake the role decades later much like Cullen retook his place as the voice of Optimus Prime. Especially since I highly doubt we'll ever see Optimus Primal again in any form of animated medium, given how Beast Wars has faded into the background and is clearly not part of Hasbro's intended 'brand image' for Transformers, which is clearly intent on focusing purely on a Generation 1-inspired cast.

My top 5 so far are:

Rodimus
Jazz
(not really sure if thats the right order though)
