That would be really great. Maybe BotCon exclusive.

The neat thing is that the "Trailer" is more akin to a Pretender Shell, meaning the smaller robot except for the cockpit is hidden away.
Uhhhhm...nope![]()

Lore Keeper wrote:The more I see of this figure, the more excited I am for it! I noticed the art gives him Maximal insignias. I hope that makes it to the toy. His bio is confusing. It seems to explicitly place this as the original character, rather than someone who shares a universe with other toys in the line. I guess only time will tell how fiction is going to handle his introduction (and ascent to prime-hood).

I wouldn't bet on him making it into fiction, like galvatronus or emissary becoming the head of cerebros, who in turn becomes the head of fort max.
Even if he appears in the power of the Primes cartoon, don't expect any explanation of his name
Emerje wrote:I have so many different Primal figures that turn into gorillas (all of the Hasbro BW releases plus a tiny transforming Takara TM version, Deluxe and Mega BM versions, the anniversary Ultra remold and new deluxe mold, regular Robot Master, Year of the Monkey, and both MPs) so I'm fine with just one Primal that turns into something else.
I'm fine with the weapons being clubs instead of swords, it still feels like it suits him. The Transmetal version had clubs, too, after all.

O RLY
And then Scorponok is coming up in Lost Light -- what could this mean?
(I'm hoping Titan-class Headmaster Scorpy!)

Sir Mix-a-Lot certainly does!
As for the toy bio, it certainly does seem to be a generic retelling of the original Beast Wars story for Optimus Primal. I don't think we're going to get anything more about him ascending to the position of "Prime" of all Cybertronians, though. The first two parts of the Prime Wars Trilogy had almost zero plot. Everything revolved around the gimmick in terms of story telling on the packages. It was rather rudimentary with Combiner Wars having fleeting references to gestalt modes, where applicable. Titans Return made it all about the various powers that Titan Masters granted the Transformers they combined with. With Power of the Primes, it's now about the combination of an individual's personality with a specific Prime's powers, and even then, we only really get that explained in randomly packed trading cards. The bios on the boxes are little more than "How will (insert name here) use the Power of the Primes?" Alas, Hasbro's invitation to "Choose the Next Prime" was likely more a publicity stunt than any true urge to add to the Transformers narrative. We voted on the toy we wanted most...and that's pretty much it. Hasbro expects us (collector and kid alike) to fill in the blanks ourselves with imagination.

Sabrblade wrote:And that's even if IDW will do anything with these Pretenders and Prime Masters. They're doing stuff with the Thirteen, yes, but not really anything with the POTP toy characters.
