I don't know if someone else pointed this out before.

I've got a theory about a gimmick in this line.
In one of the leaked pics of Starscream there's written, as feature, "Unique Enigma".
In one of the Predaking pics there's written that he can hold both Matrix of Leadership and Enigma of Combination.
Also, they said at SDCC that each leader class will have his own Matrix that can hold a Prime Master.
My theory is that in a similar way each voyager class will have his own Enigma of Combination, that will unlock the "combiner mode".
Basically the Enigma will work like the Cyber Planet Keys from Cybertron toyline, that will unlock some passage (maybe the opening of the combiner ports, or the combiner head, who knows) needed for the transformation in combiner torso.

What do you think about shi theory?

They'll probably grow on me in time, but I was hoping for a bit more articulation (which I believe they could have done).

As it is, it looks like they've just taken the G1 designs and shrunk them down and added a hinge to the feet.

Bit surprised that no ones mentioned the Prime Masters (or more accuratey their decoy shells) are 5-3 in favour of the Decepticons.

They tend to be the more memorable ones. Bludgeon, Thunderwing, Carnivac... about the only Autobot pretender I can remember is Metalhawk.

We talked about that a little a few pages back. Other than a few Primes known to be Good, and a couple known to be Evil, some are kind of unknown. I'm kind of surprised Solus Prime is with a Decepticon (Octopunch)

So am I -- I would have figured that she'd be one of the ones Hasbro would want to make 'good', if only because she's the token girl. Octopunch also seems a strange choice for the blacksmith; wouldn't Stranglehold have worked better?

Either way, both are pretty awesome so I'll be picking them up instantly

Dont worry, hasbro only wanted the leaks removed, you can still discuss it if you want. We can't force you to erase it from your mind like the MIB

Well to me we pretty much end up exactly where we were 2 years ago at the start of Titans Return where one person had these leaks based on very similar images and then they releases info bit by bit. Now we all know what is coming out, but like last time we dont know exactly how it all works or how it all looks like.

Like you say, with most of these images (predaking for instance), there was basically no difference beytween seeing the slide or being told Predaking was coming and will be done in a similar scale to Devastator.

Like Kurona said, I think we will see a monkey riding a car or a jet. What I dont know is if we will then be able to turn the optimal optimus bot mode into a beast mode. There really ianst that much to do for that transformation so I think it could be possible. If yes, this could end up being one of the coolest toys ever for me.

I've never been a fan of the original Pretenders myself, but the gimmicky-part of these will definitely appeal to my son. It will be interesting to see how Deluxes, Voyagers, Leaders etc... look with Pretender-Extender appendages (say that 3 times fast)

As for Solus, I guess maybe this *spirit* of Solus Prime has no Memory of how things ended between her and Megatronus??...Although still, she was always described with good admirable qualities aside from her temper. Oh well...they have to make cons out of some of them right?

For what it's worth, I think in IDW Octopunch is a Junkion.

Nah, he was a straight-up Decepticon. He fought during the battle of Junkion though.

But i'm glad I was proven partially incorrect about the Predacons I was thinking they'd put tiny wings on the back of Predaking or make the balance of the parts wrong - or he'd be just plain ugly like Devastator is to some degree. but the G1ish Transformations (like on the Headstrong's beast legs) simple though they are don't insult me. I'll need to see the individual beast and robot modes properly but combined he looks perfectly fine fortunately (so big sigh or relief there).

I didn't expect that having a Predacon collection would mean quite what it means now a few years ago it would have had very different meanings. I've already got 3 (combiner) Predakings and plans to buy more.

Actually it's got me really looking forward to the possibility of DX-9 Predacons now too. ( I do wonder if I should call them Predicons instead though to avoid confusion with the Beast Wars Faction and such)

I wonder if Takara will include guns and swords and Hasbro will not ?
I can see them doing a sword for him as a premium item and leaving it out on the western one completely.

But anyway 'Yay' the Predacons are seemingly not horrible (at least so it seems so far).

Thinking about Predaking as a Titan with 5 Voyager class figures, a couple of thoughts come to mind.

First, does this mean we may see a price break with the Titan Class? $150 is a lot to swallow for 5 voyagers, even if it is Predaking. The parts count and amount of material used should be significantly less than the other 4 Titans. Back to $120 maybe? While I would love for that to be the case, I am probably buying it either way.

Second, in terms of size, I am thinking he will scale just fine with the 1 Voyager, 4 Deluxe combiners if they are typical Voyager sized bots. My guess is 15-16ish inch height, but bulky (basically a head shorter than Devastator).

Regarding how Hasbro is choosing to pair up the 12 Primes with "Decoy Shells" derived from the G1 Pretenders, I don't think they're putting quite as much thought into it as we are. Maybe, when sold in store, the Prime Masters won't even be branded with Autobot or Decepticon logos, not just on the toys themselves, but on the cards they're sold on. Of course, we can mix and match till' our hearts are content once we get them all. They should all be cross compatible, so if you don't want Solus Prime hanging out with Octopunch, you can shuffle her around to a classically "Autobot" aligned Pretender/Decoy Shell.

If it's anything like Devastator "Voyager" doesn't really mean Voyager. Long Haul was, like, twice the size of the other Constructicons. It's more like a guideline.

Well, with Predaking as a Titan, they might gonna Combine now since Predaking is gonna be a gigantic Titan half-sized than Devastator

They didn't in G1 or subsequent media save a bad idea in a comic. Like I said it kinda takes away from their unique ability to terrify the decepticons as an individual unit as opposed to a collective. That's just my opinion. I like thinking of them as the most hardcore autobot unit.
