How exactly did it break? Is it the rotating panel on the back legs? If so, that appears to be fairly common issue with this guy.

I remember the swirly-ness of ToyWorld's plastic miffed a lot of fans on their Hegemon/Megatron and Grind Rod/Rollbar figures; have Hasbro been putting out swirly plastics for a while or...?

This is a different kind of swirly. It's a new technique that puts random "weathering" patterns in the plastic. I've yet to see one in person, so I can't really give an honest opinion about it.
I feel like posting pictures of my latest hauls, anybody? They should be up later this week.
