Looking at mine, the blue Energize tech detailing is indeed painted onto the red plastic, but the Autobot symbol with the ring is molded into the plastic, so removing the blue paint from that might be tricky.gothsaurus wrote:I'd be curious if you could scrub that blue energon deco paint off the front of the cab... or if there are wacky tattoo-style details molded into the front of him. I kinda want a version of this Prime, but would prefer it look more G1.

Though, his torso makes me think of Rescue Roy.
And why are they making another Optimus figure based on the first one?

If only. But the makers keep saying that it's too expensive to create new Bot models.Flashwave wrote:I still say we need an episode like Autoboot Camp where the Rescue Bots remenise on some of the Cybertronians they trained with, maybe one of the older siblings has a reunion, and Hoist, Medix, and now Salvage all get a quicky shout out. They could easily be buddies of Chase, (Repo?) Heatwave, and Boulder respectively.
No sightings yet, to my knowledge.Flashwave wrote:Come to think of it, I don't think we got our AoE garbage truck, did we?

LOST Cybertronian wrote:Site sponsor BigBadToyStore gives us a first look at a couple new Transformers: Rescue Bots Rescan 2015 series 1 figures. Salvage who transforms into a garbage truck is in the wave with the new Rescan Optimus Prime and the previously revealed Boulder and Chase. Check out the bot and alt mode images from the listing which is scheduled to drop in December.

Metro Prime wrote:What's the point of that Optimus figure? It's just the first one, but with slightly better proportions.
What's more is that now the show has greatly improved its use of CGI models for the bots, so I'd imagine that it's now more expensive than ever to animate the six Autobot models that they already have.Nemesis Primal wrote:Salvage reminds me a bit of Strong-Bot, but I like Transformers with unusual alt modes like garbage trucks, so I'm interested.Sabrblade wrote:If only. ...That makes me wonder exactly what kind of budget the show has. How much lower than what Prime or Animated had is it?

I forgot. Was looking for something else when I found it, so I didn't check the price.shockblast2 wrote:Sabrblade wrote:Saw one at Target today, myself. Won't buy it unless it makes its way into the show, though.
What was the price point on these?

They keep making new toys of the main four since those guys are in the show. They're trying to milk their popularity as they always do with popular characters.shockblast2 wrote:Reissues like the rescans, the dinos, these new ones......new characters are in order. That is why I might pick up Salvage, and was glad to see Medix and Hoist reissued.

I guess he means that they look like upscaled version of previously released toys.
