So like a Lone Ranger type?Nemesis Primal wrote:chuckdawg1999 wrote:Thought; Sideswipe uses a katana, so does Drift, we haven't see a deluxe Sideswipe but we've seen deluxe Drift. Something happens to Sideswipe and it becomes Drift
Or vice-versa. Though I hope not, what I want is for this version of Drift to travel the planet/galaxy/whatever with no destination in mind, righting wrongs and then vanishing as mysteriously as he came. In short, I'm hoping they write him as a drifter.
EDIT: Not just for the wordplay, I think "ex-bad guy who wants to make right" and "wandering swordsman" are two archetypes which would overlap well.

Sure, why not? Except obviously a samurai rather than a cowboy.

I swear I've seen this character type used in some fiction (TF or otherwise) before, but I can't put my finger on who the character was.

Nah, I missed out on seeing Rurouni Kenshin (and still haven't watched it), so that wouldn't be it.fenrir72 wrote:Samurai X? Kenshin Himura?

Yeah, but I'm trying to think of a character that I'm familiar with. I know of Kenshin, but I didn't watch his show so I don't know him that well.fenrir72 wrote:Sabrblade wrote:Nah, I missed out on seeing Rurouni Kenshin (and still haven't watched it), so that wouldn't be it.fenrir72 wrote:Samurai X? Well, Kenshin was a government killer once and now fights to make amends. He's red and carries a samurai.........

I can feel it in the back of my head, but I can't think of the face or the name of who it is that I'm trying to remember.
Though both were ex-Cons who switched sides and lived by a code of honor, neither were ronins.william-james88 wrote:What about Dinobot, or the original Drift (hence my little joke earlier)

Same, but I would prefer TFP to this. The animation on prime was realistic.

The animation still has to convince me. From what I've seen, it's kinda rough. Maybe they'll...
fixit!
