Its incredibly small, smaller than Kingdom Jazz, transformation is awkward at best, he doesn’t tab in correctly in vehicle mode, and he’s just not that fun to mess around with. Sam is completely pointless.
I have the Buzzworthy release, I really think it's the best deluxe movie Bee. Transformation takes a bit to get used to, but the figure overall, especially in robot mode, is awesome.
I'm going to respectfully disagree with that assessment. Takara's MBM DotM Bee I think takes that award. Some may not like the black spoiler, but other than that it uses the updated DotM movie mold with a great paint.

I don't see what so good about a teeny tiny Deluxe bee with super loose hips and an awkward transformation that doesn't let him tab in properly in vehicle mode.
Had he been 15% larger he would have been real good, and probably avoided the tabbing issues in car mode.
He's barely o.k at best, but has some real issues.
If size is the main complaint when comparing DOTM against SS, then SS will always come up short (pun alert). SS are all designed to be as close to in scale with the rest of the SS line as possible, not the previous toylines. There was a noticable decrease in size of the movie toys somewhere between DOTM and TLK with Studio Series being pretty close to scale with TLK and sharing some molds.
Fair point. Yes, I had not picked up anything from SS prior to this BB. As much as like the original figures and TLK Megs, SS just never did anything for me. I have been trying to get a cheap SS-32 or 44.
For the transformation and tabbing together, are you sure you didn't just get a defective one, are are maybe missing a step somewhere? Mine tabs together just fine and most others who have the mold haven't mentioned any problems either. I haven't messed with it in a while, so I can take a look and see if there is something that might cause the tabbing issue you are having.
Maybe I am missing a step, but the doors simply won't tab in no matter what I try. Not sure how far the feet need to be slid in, but it seems no matter what I do the doors won't sit flush with the body.
I can only manage to get one to tab in fully, but the other one just pops out of both the fender slot and the roof tab.
