My most wanted SS figure has to go to The Fallen. I really need a huge leader class figure of him. Heck I would not even complain if he did not transform, but he needs to come with a staff and if his mask could come off to that'd be great.

Another one I need is a deluxe two pack of the twins. I think they should be about the height of the acree triplets.

A slightly upscaled blackout into grindor would be cool to get also.

As for others I want dino, que, jolt, random protoform (could be a two pack for like $25-30 and they are just robots), and really any other bot that showed up on screen in the movies (except from the BB movie, I don't want any more of them).

My SS dreams would be to get a commander class decepticon ship from Dotm, AoE, and TLK (the smaller ones that flip around). And the last one is a titan class Driller. Shockwave is just not complete without him.

These are my hopes and dreams (that I can think of currently) for SS.

1. Well, by today's standards the ROTF mold would probably end up at Leader price. And it's big enough for Studio Series, judging by a pic I saw of it next to SS Jetpower Optimus. If they used the HFTD retool (which had the staff and a removable face) that'd be perfect. And he whether or not they used that mold, he would technically transform, because HasTak don't sell mainline TFs that don't transform.
2. The Twins are bigger than the Arcee triplets
3. They're not going to upscale Blackout, that's beyond the scope of this line. Besides, SS Blackout is more at Grindor size anyway.
4. The Generic Decepticon Protoforms would be nice as army builders. They would be given excuse altmodes like the Fallen, and for the same reason.
5. The Decepticon fighters would be cool, but I think they're outside the scope of this line.
6. A Titan-class Driller is right out. It would be cool, but it doesn't transform into anything and I don't think it has enough appeal to get a Titan slot. Plus, even Titan-class wouldn't be enough for it to scale with Leader Shockwave... The best we can hope for is a Leader-class with a miniature Shockwave, and even that's unlikely.

Infernocus would make sense ,though Infernocus might be difficult to pull off at the leader price point. Maybe if they rerelease TLK voyager Megatron with a new paint scheme?

I just want a Leader Infernocus where he splits apart into 5 or 6 bots, and it is literally combined mode to individual demon modes, like the first Devastator. He can't do the larger size classes, but i wish he would get that treatment.

Also, a Titan Driller would be so cool. They are done with titans in G1, they could do a movie Titan now!

A Leader Infernocus that split would result in shrimpy Infernocons. And that's assuming doing an accurate Infernocus that can split is workable. He might cheat too badly for that.

They're not fully done with Titans in G1, but they're certainly done with new molds. So a movie Titan is a possiblity. I don't know that the Driller is viable though. And can you imagine what kind of horrible excuse vehicle mode (or worse, robot mode) they'd have to give it?

I'd love to see them do a Titan-class Demolishor.

Take Grimlock, his 4 limbs would be legends sized bots (and they would only need to go between limb and robot) and then have a deluxe-ish torso (again, robot to combiner form). That could fit into the price range, and it would give us a cool Infernocus.

The Driller, they could make it an attack base mode, he could include a platform area for Shockwave, attack arms, etc. they could totally do it too. That has been one of the figures i have been dying to see in toy form some day

A redux of the Fallen is high on my want list as well. Besides that I'd say TLK Onslaught deserves a go and maybe some of the back up NEST Autobots from DoTM. And also now that Im thinking about it, since Clifjumper is getting a toy then how about that Soundwave then eh?

Leaving aside the fact that that's probably beyond the price point's limits... The thing is that Infernocus in the movie was made of 6 identical guys who were all Optimus Prime-sized. It might possible that they could do a Voyager based on that design with a flexible enough transformation to be any part of the combo. Assuming he doesn't cheat too hard for an accurate combination made of individual robots to be feasible. It would be easier if combiner kibble could be included as a way of cheating to achieve the look. But that would probably require a bigger size class, and I doubt people would go for getting six Leader Infernocons... Ultra, maybe. But of course, Ultra class isn't around anymore.

But would enough people go for it? And scale-wise it would work better for it to have a compartment for a Shockwave miniature.
And then there's the fact that the design is a convoluted hydra-worm mess. A cool mess, mind you, but still a mess.
Honestly, I think the best way to do the Driller would be as a buildable toy. A base kit of body segments and tentacles, and expansion packs to make it bigger and more complex.

As such, it is limited, there will be an end, and there are still characters I want to prioritize. And the Soundwave design from the Bee movie is my absolute LEAST favorite movie design. I really did not like it. Same with Shockwave. I just don't want another "G1-ish design" taking up space for another movie design that I enjoy more, and need to finish the cast (Hello TLK cons, Hatchet, Dino, Infernocus)

Given how the line seems kind of positioned and branded closer to something like Star Wars: The Black Series than to other Generations sublines, I would be surprised if it ended this year. I think this line will probably keep going for as long as there are movies to make toys of.

I agree with these characters needing toys too. I need a properly colored Jolt who is a good match for his CGI model (which I found to be badass and really sweet). I also actually need a Sideways, he is one of the few I do not have a toy of

Had recently ordered and received SS Deluxe Soundwave from Amazon in Feb. Finally decided to transform him into car mode only to discover that he came misassembled. He has a "right" panel on the side where it should be a "left" side panel. Amazon processed a refund for me but for some reason couldn't send a replacement. Just wanted to post this issue with the figure I had so others could be aware/vigilant. It was the panel just below the front end and tire segment on the front bumper located on the arms if that helps. Might post a pic later if I think of it.

I'm not as convinced Studio Series will end after this year. There are a whole lot of characters that haven't been made yet (including a couple Primes and several Bumblebees) and the line seems to be selling well. Why end it after 3 years when you could easily do a 4th? I think how long the line goes really just depends on how many characters are left and whether they can continue to sprinkle in Bumblebees every other wave.

Shockwave’s drilling worm-bot is definitely doable, but unfortunately I sincerely doubt the likelihood of them ever making it. Which is sad, because I’d also like to see something like that made. Some kind of platform-like playset altmode would be cool, and fitting, regardless of it not existing in the movie.

A leader sized, combining Infernocus made of legends or scout sized is entirely possible, and for me would be a welcome addition to the SS lineup! I’m not necessarily a fan of the character, mostly because he didn’t actually have any character, but his design was interesting enough. It would also be something unique to the toy line. I also happen to be a big sucker for little combiners, a la PCC. And if the just had the bot mode, and combined mode, without having to compromise to fit a third mode in there, that would be preferable.


I’d really like it if they did some figures of characters that weren’t in the movies. Like using some of the concept artwork. Or just making some scout sized (my favorite class) Human Alliance type figures. I always welcome minifigs, and it’s a good opportunity to make some unique bots with uncommon alt modes. Think how cool it would be to have a bunch of drones? Just call them KSI drones, and throw a little human figure in there. I’d troop build the hell out of those. And who doesn’t love little two-man buggies? Or more motorcycles?

I’d also like to see them take another crack at the dreadbots. Only, you know, good this time. Like, put some real effort into them.
