It's like the complete opposite of how things were handled by the Hasbro team of 2010-2013, who were just so secretive and overprotective of everything. At every one of those years' BotCons, that Hasbro team held panels for new revelations related to the Aligned continuity (TF: Prime, the WFC/FOC video games, or just the Aligned lore in general) and each time they were like "What we're about to show you requires that you turn off all your cameras and recording devices, and if we find out that you've taken any pictures or videos of this, you're history, and so is our showing you all anything like this ever again!"Rtron wrote:william-james88 wrote:Yeah, this stream was great and streams have gotten better. Exactly, things like that, or the amount of people involved in making Megatron, or them just flat out saying that they couldn't factor Inferno's gun into the budget.

Well I wouldn't call myself a convert, but I'm not against getting a great looking piece like that either. I don't have many SS figures, leaders mostly, but this will be a centerpiece for sure.Hellscream9999 wrote:Rodimus Prime wrote:Okay, I'm very impressed by the detail on The Fallen. And yes, Rumble is an insta-buy.
You know hasbro's done a figure right if it can make converts out of people
I was gonna wait for the MPM version, but that might be years away and this looks great anyway.

I also did enjoy hearing about how Inferno and Starscream do share that voyager budget and how a change in deco for inferno's ant eyes meant removing paint from Starscream's sword. It does confirm what people have been saying a long time that to understand how a figure comes out, you have to get a sense of the entire wave/class output.
As for the decision, it makes both figures more toy accurate. But at the same time, I woudn't have minded the original plan either. Still, cool to know they think a lot of stuff like that.

irnerno lacking the gun is sad, but not the end of the world. His original toy didn't come with it anyway (it came with weird pincers), but an upgrade kit surely will. On the upside, HE HAS MOUTH ARTICULATION! I don't remember seeing mouth articulation before, except maybe legacy metroplex.

Pretty sure they mean this one.
They wanted to include a weapon but couldn't price it in so they went with the butt gun instead.

Be alert - Ratchet's gun was loose in the box. If I hadn't been pulling it fresh out of the case myself it'd probably be lost to the winds of the toy aisle.

The lack of the flamethrower from the show. The one with ant jaws on it that replaced the claw pincer from the toy.

I guess that's the type of "vehicle" where anything goes.
Also, for such a "big" leader, he's not that much bigger than the original voyager.

In its defense, RotF The Fallen was pretty tall for a voyager back in the day as well. He towered over other voyagers like Starscream. So it might be throwing off things here.

But yeah, if you watch the video, the alt modes when he transforms them are almost exactly the same size. I might still pick this up, just for the more accurate...well, everything, but "big" is kind of relative compared to the massive toys of the earlier movie lines. I have deluxes from RotF that are bigger than today's voyagers.

Is it maybe the angle that makes it look that much different?

Definitely not.
The thickness of the ships are way different in the front. I guess SS Fallen will be kinda like the 2001 RiD Megatron and can transform into 12 "modes".

Kind of interesting how the Fallen transforms into a almost flying saucer shape.
Wait...kind of reminds me of the ships in Independence Day.

The main thing I see is that the legs are bent more at the knee in the fan mode, bringing his heels together.
