DOTM Warpath kept his top spot from the rankings and took 57% of the finale vote, becoming this year's Studio Series September champion! For everyone who voted for him, what would you like to see if he was to get a Studio Series figure? Voyager or Leader Class? Would he include a ROTF claw accessory that could work with DOTM Megatron to recreate his game appearance?
A big thank you to everyone who voted and participated this year! You all make this a fun event to run!

I'm still shocked Longarm didn't make it out of the first round. I love that toy, and would love an update.
Also the cheeky reference on him is excellent.

Hound is not really hound. Starscream could have an entire different name and we wouldn't know that's supposed to be Starscream. Wheeljack in ROTB could be named Skids for all it's worth. ROTB Scourge have more to do with RiD than G1. All the Megatrons could have been their own original characters with their own name. Only in the intro of the Bee movie that the names match the bots. In all other instances, appart Optimus Prime, all the others could have been named something else and we would have never noticed. Even Bumblebee.

I disagree with this view, that the character is false if the name usage doesn't match the G1 version;
Hasbro has to reuse names because of trademark stuff, why not do something cool with it?
The reuse of names gave us these character below
-Beast Wars Inferno
-2001 Rid Scourge
-Armada Wheeljack
-Movie Barricade
-Animated Prowl
And sometimes we get someone like Rise of The Beasts Scourge, that is mix of various aspects of the previous versions.
The reuse of names open the door to more possibilites to be explored.

I agree, it's cool when they're flexible with the characters that carry a name.

And that's why people should stop making a big deal out of this.
They started doing it right after G1 and it's been over 3 decades already since G1's finale.

Agreed, wasn't there an instance of it in G2?
There were lots of instances in G2. The name "Afterburner", for example, was originally an Autobot Technobot in G1, but in G2 was instead the name of a Decepticon Skyscorcher.-Kanrabat- wrote:ZeroWolf wrote:-Kanrabat- wrote:ZeroWolf wrote:Same, otherwise it's like saying that every person called Paul has to be exactly the same...An argument taken to the extreme I know but you get the point. On top of my mind, I don't think so.
So, it would be after G2 that names began to jump around. Unless it would count for Lazer Optimus and Tank Megatron, who had different shapes.

So Lazer Prime was always meant to be RID Scourge from the beginning. Interesting.

Wait, what? How did you get that from what I said? His '95 counterpart is the Megatron and Starscream pack from the same year, I even posted a picture of it.

Oh. I thought you meant G2 Optimus Prime who was a repaint of the G1 original with a black trailer and extra bits.
It would have been interesting.
