Thrilling 30 included a lot of AOE stuff since that was the new movie at the time, so I think ROTB should be fair game for that anniversary as well.

You calling Cybertron Metroplex a "nobody" is positively hilariously dumb, considering he was essentially a giant sized equal to Optimus in Cybertron.

So do movie fans just buy anything an everything "just because"? I ask because Stratosphere doesn't seem worthy of Commander or Titan Class based on his very brief role in the movie. Nor was his character all that interesting or appealing, to me anyway. I can possibly see him getting Leader Class just to cover the character and not take such a big risk. He also seems like a character that should be made while the movie is in people's orbit rather than a year or two later when he's totally forgotten.

I would like to see a proper DLX Nightbird, so far that's the only Bot from the movie that interests me design/deco wise. Mirage came close but something seems off in toy form.

I buy them because I love them, I love the character, i love the movies.

Scale is the consideration for this line, they have said so since the beginning.

It's also funny being like "this guy showed up for a few minutes and to me was completely forgettable, how would someone want a toy of him?" when we had WFC giving us micromaster bases with robot modes, brand new fossilizers, and now brand new junkions in legacy with zero fiction, and we still eat them up.

Got an announcement for you all today!

The Studio Series September fan tournament will be returning later this year - with a twist!

This year's tournament will be focusing on the live action movies' extended cast, including video game and concept art characters! This will be separate from the main bracket that we did last year, so no characters who were actually in the movie in robot mode for this one.

** We do want to stay screen-based since this is Studio Series, so please make sure your character picks for your top 10 meet at least 1 of the following criteria: **

1. From other screens: This includes Evac from Transformers the Ride and all movie video game characters (Breakaway, Drones, 07 Shockwave, etc.)

2. Characters whose alt mode appeared in the movies but did not transform: This includes characters like ROTF Springer (V-22 Osprey), the HMS Alliance from TLK, 07 Landmine (S7 buggy), etc.

3. Characters that were almost on screen: This includes concept art characters for the films, with the caveat that I'd prefer to avoid concept art of characters we actually got in the movie, instead focusing on characters that were cut in production, like ROTF Springer and ROTB Transit. BB Megatron is excluded since we already have a listing for him.

Important note: Movie toy characters also must meet one of the above criteria. For example, 2007 Landmine and Longarm count since their alt modes appeared in the movie, and 2007 Wreckage counts since he was based on concept art made for the movie.

As an example, here's my top 10:

Are we sure that listing actually is the unused Megatron design from Bumblebee? Because the group of leaks we first saw it also mentioned a "TF6 Sunstreaker", who wasn't in Bumblebee but was in the 1986 movie, so I thought it was the same deal for "TF6 Megatron". Has more info come out since then?

The most recent info we have from JTPrime who found the listings seems to indicate that Megatron is the BB version.

07 Arcee's design counts since it was movie concept art (and very different from the Arcee we got in ROTF), Dropkick appeared as a drone in the 07 game IIRC so he counts, 07 Mixmaster was also a drone in the game so he counts, but not doing comic book characters for this one.

I got him from a note on Scrapmetal's TFWiki article, he seems to come from the same batch of concepts that the multi-legged Overload concept comes from. Revenge of the Fallen constructicons have some of the best designs.

Updated the paint work on my SS ROTB Bee! Was able to find some better reference pics to get him looking more accurate:

Thanks! I imagine we'll get another release of this Bee with a battle mask and second cannon. Maybe retooled as the regular Camaro? The existing mold needs the boosted tires because of the arms hanging under the vehicle though, so it might have to be a more extensive retool.

In the meantime, I spliced two pics of Bee together to give him two cannons!

I fiddled around with The Fallen and here's my TlDr review.

Posing the bot is not fun due to the arms thing on his back always separating and popping off the ball joints.

The mask is a cool feature, but then to fall off if not placed in a precise way.

The instructions are hard to read and it's not something that can be transformed alone due to the alien design.

That final ship mode though... Worth all the struggles! I can't believes I like this spaceship so much.

Final thoughts: I would have been disappointed if I had pay full price. But with a combination of Prime Day and a coupon, paying roughly the price of a deluxe was just perfect for what I got.

My favorite reveal of SDCC was definitely the Decepticon multipack! I already have all these guys so I won't be picking it up, but it's a great way for people to catch up on older figures.

I do think not giving Blackout the upgraded Grindor hands was a missed opportunity (In fact, Blackout, Starscream, and Megatron all appear to be unchanged from their original releases), but check out that new Barricade! Better plastic colors, and quite a few more paint apps! More accurate face paint, the 643 numbering on the front, and some smaller details like the orange lights on the grill/chest. HArd to tell if it's tinted clear plastic or black plastic now.

I wonder if we'll see a Brawl and Bonecrusher 2-pack to complement this set

My thoughts on today's reveals:

> 15th Anniversary Decepticon set - It's a neat little set, but I'm happy with my original versions of Blackout, Barricade and Starscream. I've never had the 2007 Movie Megatron, but again, I like the ROTF version more so I likely won't get this set.
> Ultra Magnus - I saw a lot of people on TFW2005 complaining because there's no cab robot, but I don't mind that. He looks fine and the trailer being able to carry Deluxe cars is much appreciated. I definitely will buy him because I need to replace my broken Kingdom Ultra Magnus.
> Ratchet - This will most likely be the first time in a long time that I buy Reprolabels because of the lack of paint in vehicle mode, but even so I'm happy that this figure is finally on the way.
> Frenzy - This is another one I will definitely get to go with Rumble, I do wonder if we'll get other cassettes at some point?
> Exo Suit Noah - probably not something I need, but it's a cute little figure nonetheless.

They ommited the "to punish and slave" Decal on Barricade again, ugh. These don't seem as de-decoed as their Autobot counterparts, tough, outside of Barricade, and Starscream who's missing some paint apps on the face. It also feels sort of nostalgic that Brawl and Bonecrusher aren't included, since they're the ones who didn't feature in any promotional material back in 2007. They didn't even have any of those weird promotional renders!

I am happy that we are getting Noah, that was a pleasant surprise. But why he is a jet is beyond me, that part of him looks janky.

Novakane is neat, and I will probably get like 3.

I am not sure on Nightbird, she looks a lot like the mainline toy in terms of molding and such, and she still looks pretty janky. Plus, where's her wings?

I don't get this argument. Current sentiment is that cops are bad. Barricade is a bad cop. If anything, it makes more sense now than ever.
