Not good news for everyone. I preferred the yellow. I've always considered the gold on Grimmy to be ugly. Just because the G1 figure had it, every other figure has to have it.

Same. These are supposed to be accurate to the movie where it's definitely yellow. If they suddenly want to go with toy accurate gold then it should have been as an exclusive.

That just looks perfect as is. Granted, the mold is more toy accurate than cartoon accurate, but if they're going to stick it in SS then it absolutely must be yellow.

Grimlock looked better in yellow and more of a reason to get it over/whilst having the MP. Will have to see how the other Dinobots turn out as they are going to be my deciders on whether I want him or not.

Bee Starscreams a hard decision, I like the tetra jet mode (though it looks unfinished at the rear until the photos are out) but Blitzwing is practically Starscream with a gas mask on. If Toyhax do labels for Blitzscream then I dont think I'll really need tetra Starscream. Will all depend on the cheapest option in which figure gets reduced first.

So, I definitely did not like the yellow, its too bright and obviously toylike, but I would have liked a more matted shade of yellow over straightgoldlike the POTP. Maybe they can meet in the middle

Starscream is up for pre-order on Pulse, with an expected ship date of July 2021.

https://hasbropulse.com/products/transf ... starscream

WTF, will SS truly have nothing new until April for SS86, then July for the next bayverse wave?

Not only that, but since Starscream is SS-72, there will only be 2 deluxes in that wave (SS-70 and SS-71). ROTF Bee is confirmed, and my guess is Jolt is the other one.

There were rumors about this Starscream, but I wonder who the other voyager is - or if there even is one.

Anyway, not interested in this one but if it's being revealed now hopefully we see some of the leaked and rumored Bayverse figures soon.

I'm pretty sure it is a repaint/remold of SS Blitzwing.
Did you even watch the 6-minute video? How many times does it have to be said that this is a new mold?

Your eyes are lying to you.

Nope, the reveal lied.

Looking at the pictures on Pulse, it is most certainly a retool, or at the very least shares parts. The 2 chest cockpits, the shoulders, the crotch, it's all there. It even shares the same very specific gun.

It's a retool, maybe more along the lines of CW Offroad/First Aid, but it's a retool, it ain't all new

How can the robot-to-vehicle skeleton be the same when they turn into two completely different altmode designs?

They're as much the same (maybe even less so) as ROTF Leaders Optimus and Starscream and their MPM counterparts, and each of those pairs even do share the exact same altmodes.

Yep, there's a big underslung gun assembly on the seekers in the movie.

I actually quite like the jet mode on these seekers, it feels more like WFC/FOC than G1. The robot mode is one of the better Cybertron designs along with Bumblebee IMO, it doesn't have the enormous thighs and skinny lower legs like Soundwave, Shockwave, and Prime do.

Anyway, it's kinda cool but not something I'll be picking up, my preferred Starscream is a little more triangular xD

On first sight of the alt mode my thought was "What the flying @#$% is that?

After looking at it for a few minutes I've come to really like it. The robot mode...not as much. Then again I'm not a big fan of Blitzwing either (maybe it will grow on me as I've only spent the time to transform him and back and now he waits to go on a shelf.

Having just spent time with Blitz' I can see where the differences between him and this Starscream are, just a shame the stuff that kind of puts me off is here, but it makes sense that the Earth mode shouldn't change much from the Cybertron mode in robot form. (Sweeps Prime et all Protoform TF Movie 1 under the rug, just like Bumblebee did)

I think he means parts of the transformation being reused here, as in shared engineering. The "skeleton" here is the overall position of the (transformation) joints, but even that doesn't completely match up to Blitzwing.

A thing to keep in mind, is that computer animation model reuse is fairly common in movies, and I can see that being the case with Starscream vs. Blitzwing. Not with the toys however.

The first of my photos (more will come)...
I have included two ILM images of the Seeker jets, to show what Hasbro were trying to replicate with this mold, which I expect will be redecoed a few times. These images show that the big chunky robot turns into a very sleek jet with almost no bulk in it, so the actual toy had to put the kibble somewhere... and in all fairness, I think they did the best they could do, with what they had to work with, because you still have the same gun-pod of the ILM image at the front of the toy, in front of the kibble.
If you look at the character models of the bots that had Cybertronian modes, I think they were thrown together in a hurry without any intention of allowing for toys, so I would be surprised if we see too many more of them, and if we do, they will probably be like Starscream, with lots of kibble spoiling one of the modes.

(tomorrow I'll look at doing comparison photos with Blitzwing in jet mode, but I need to transform it first, and I'm too tired tonight - I also want to do another comparison photo of the jet mode with other "tetra-jets", which would include the two that I forgot in the video)

In the end, that SS Bee Screamers is not too bad.

And if ToyHax release a Reprolabels set to turn SS Bee Blitzwing into Starscream, it will still be relevant because that would be "Earth mode Screamers."

New Studio Series 72 Starscream from the Bumblebee Movie revealed

Motto: "'Til All Are One!"
Weapon: Twin Shock-Concussion Missiles
Earlier this morning, our friends at Entertainment Earth emailed to let all of you know at Seibertron.com about a new pre-order for a Studio Series 72 Starscream action figure.

This Voyager Class version of Starscream, from the live-action Bumblebee Movie, features this backstabbing villain in his Cybertronian mode from the Movie Universe, which retains his familiar G1 color scheme and a normal (coherent?) looking robot mode than the fictionally-later Bayverse Starscream which had a tan color scheme and a more "gorilla-with-chicken-legs" robot mode.

As noted by several keen-eyed Seibertronians, this new Starscream is a heavy retool / remold of Studio Series Voyager Class Blitzwing. Both figures share several parts such as the chest cockpit, shoulders and other parts.

Seeker fans may be left wondering how long until the inevitable recolors are revealed for the other Seekers like Skywarp, Thundercracker and possibly others, though it's possible that those never see the light of day as well such as Action Master Starscream and the Energon and Cybertron toy lines which never saw proper recolors of Starscream into his Seeker brothers (Action Master Thundercracker excluded for obvious reasons due to his obnoxious unfamiliar colors).

The listing on EntertainmentEarth.com states that the figure will be released in July 2021, so fans will have to wait about 7 more months to get this exciting new version of Starscream. In addition to a single figure listing for Starscream, there is also a shared case wave that comes packed 2 Starscreams with 1 Studio Series 86 Voyager Class Hot Rod.

Product Description: This Studio Series 72 Voyager Class Transformers: Bumblebee-inspired Starscream figure converts from robot to tetrajet mode in 31 steps. Remove backdrop to showcase Starscream in the Cybertron Falls scene. In the Cybertron Falls scene from Transformers: Bumblebee, the Autobot resistance retreats to escape the planet as Cybertron falls under Decepticon control. Starscream and the seekers destroy the Autobot launchpad in an effort the prevent their escape. Pose the figure out with the included Null Ray accessories and imagine recreating this classic movie moment!

Without further ado, check out the listing from EntertainmentEarth.com as well as some pictures which we mirrored below for your convenience.
