Must have, can't wait for B127 version!
And all of the Seekers,
And Soundwave, and Shockwave.
Arcee, Brawn... dear gods I love that movie.

Horribly offtopic, please forgive me:
Question: What is the Seibertron.com of DC toys and media?
I can't for the life of me find a good up to date news site for the Justice League & other DC stuff.

IT HAPPENED! One of my Overloads arrived! He is such a fantastic figure. I can not believe that after 11 years I have a real, fully combining ROTF Devastator. Dreams really do come true. More pictures of him and Devastator to follow later today.

Awesome, looking forward to Devastator pictures! It's so cool to be at this point after a couple years of waiting.

These two share more parts than I thought at first, which is actually pretty cool! I've come to appreciate Shockwave a whole lot more after working on painting it for a while. The robot mode screen accuracy is incredibly on-point!

Yeah the figure looks amazing. Too bad the character got horribly mistreated on screen.

Indeed, him being a red herring is something of potential but he was nothing more then that, at least he needed a bunch to take him down even if he didn't really fight back much but it was still unfortunate his role was so minor after being built up in the marketing and prequel material.

I've always thought it would of been better if Sentinel was working with Shockwave instead of Megatron with Megatron completely in the dark regarding their plan, with the two of them using him for his remaining Decepticons before usurping him completely after the initial Chicago invasion which would be a more convincing reason for Megatron to turn on them, Soundwave would have been in league with them prior to the film while Starscream takes the opportunity to join them, the other Decepticons such as Barricade would not know of the usurpation and continue as is.

The final "fight" would be Optimus and Megatron teaming up against Sentinel and Shockwave with the latter leaving Sentinel for dead when things start to turn around which would clue in to Sentinel that their plan truly wasn't what he was fighting for so he dies with genuine regret, with Megatron dying to Shockwave because I don't really see a good way for everyone to just let him go due to the all the things he was responsible for, this leaves a more satisfying final clash with Shockwave with the ending resuming the way it does after the Sentinel execution in the final film since all that was fine.

The biggest thing that makes me sad in regards to the Bay films is that the core plots and such is for the most part (besides aspects of TLK I guess) really darn close to working as alright films.

The films just needed slight tweaks such as removing some of the pointless filler and inappropriate scenes in order to give the main plot a better focus and some more screen time for Transformers, Sam going to college for example is a fine idea in-of itself to get him somewhere and have progression for the character but we didn't need to see so many aspects of it just the important stuff like his class Glyph freakout.

Adjusting the murder tendencies of the Autobots with a prime example being Demolishor and Sideways, they can still die but a better/heroic way to portray it is Demolishor not getting executed but rather dying of injuries he sustained in the fight (I guess mostly how it is in the final film since he looks pretty messed up after the fight) because the Autobots/Nest are trying to stop his rampaging, Sideways getting cornered to be captured instead of instantly being marked for death but Sideways fights back with murderous intent forcing their hand.

And a few more scenes to establish Autobots and some Decepticon as actual characters, giving them the ability to talk a lot more often in vehicle mode is a very simple thing that could even have been done with a lot of the existing scenes where Autobots are just driving around, however I do believe that not every Transformer needs to be a main character or something, side characters exist for a reason and some Transformers fit the bill as that, Jolt or the Wreckers might of needed more presence/lines but do they really need to be very plot important?

The films could of been so easily salvaged with better editors/producers that it's frustrating.

I feel people would of been a lot more accepting of the vastly different Bayformer designs if they were able to establish themselves as memorable characters, it already exists for some characters like the 2007 versions of the Decepticons, Barricade, Blackout, Scorponok, Brawl and Bonecrusher tend to be remembered fondly due to 2007 actually portraying the Decepticons pretty good.

Heck look at all the people who prefer Ironhide to be a pickup truck with a pair of cannons, there was some really good things that the films brought that I will always appreciate even if I don't think the films are good. (I think 2007 is a mostly good film though, DOTM to an extent is my fave film or at least has the foundations to be if properly executed.)

Studio Series exists for a reason right?

With regards to screen time for the Transformers, that was budget issues, you got what the already huge budgets allowed. In a live action film, you'll always get humans (otherwise its just a cgi cartoon, just like how the recent Lion King movie is mislabelled live action when there's only one shot that's live action)

This is true and I do agree for the most part.

I might of worded it poorly, but I don't mean giving a lot more time to the characters because that is unrealistic, just adjusting what already exists to better present the Transformers with the time they have.

How much more could DOTM do if the Driller wasn't a thing since it's a giant complicated metal worm monster? Same with AOE and the Lockdown ship's gravity scenes that was pretty unnecessarily long.

Or the budget used for super cars that are not Transformers?

There are some things budget went into that really should of just went into other things.

Even without giant robots, every human scene still uses an amount of budget and time to an extent since props cost money regardless of how small, not as much as cgi-ing or action scenes but they still do amount to stuff.

As promised I have taken some pictures of Devastator and compared him to some other figures. Instead of uploading all the pictures here I just made a youtube video for it (link below).

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Iydicv8XNOw

He is really an incredible figure and I can not express how good it makes me feel that I have one of my favorite transformer designs in my collection now. Studio Series is really making a lot of my childhood (and now) dreams come true!

While I like these ideas I think I would have preferred if Megatron somehow managed to escape and Shockwave had died. This way they could have avoided the messy Galvatron business in the next movie while KSI would salvage Shockwave for knowledge about Transformers which would play nicely into his hands since he would know exactly how to manipulate them into making him a new body and an army to control while also explaining why things like KSI Boss (at least the toy, in fiction) and "Two-Head" look so much like Shockwave.

To be on topic, I really wish Target would hurry up and ship Overload now that he's in stores. They're really starting to lag behind after being so timely with ER Doubledealer. (Yes, I realize I'm being slightly dramatic since they only just started showing up in stores, but I'm getting anxious to complete Devastator.)

I got my Overload a couple days ago to finish my Devastator but I was actually even more excited to see Amazon shipped out my Studio Series Blitzwing yesterday! He got here this afternoon and I couldn’t open him until about an hour ago but holy crap this guy is awesome. Really good paint (outside of the jet nosecone, not a fan of that), incredible articulation including waist and wrist rotation, ankle tilts, an opening right hand, all kinds of stuff. I hope he starts moving out for everyone soon because he’s great. In my opinion absolutely worth the wait it took to get him since the movie came out. :CON:

Ah I wrote my idea with the assumption that DOTM would be the final movie as it was intended to be, as much as I do like aspects of AOE and TLK (Nitro Zeus is the best Decepticon in the franchise period) it would of been best if the Bay films were just a trilogy, DOTM was a fine ending and the other two movies by comparison were unnecessary and now were stuck with an unsatisfying ending with TLK

Otherwise I'd do something like that as well and have Starscream, Soundwave and Barricade survive if the movies were going to keep on going.

2 - Overload NEVER skips shoulder day, which makes sense since he has like 6 of them.

Greetings Seibertronians! ello, I found the john dimaggio meaty robot from dotm, aka, #transformers Leadfoot! outta the box, there are only plastic strings holding down the missiles! also, the instructions have these pointless steps for prepping the robot but don't mention having to extend the hips out

robot looks good! though, the articulation is iffy and the legs look bland. the biggest issues are these missiles, they plug in the armpit to fill in the void, but barely stay on and also restrict the should movement. another issue is the shoulders not plugging to the chest

the car mode looks great though! not perfect though, the missiles look tacked on and the machine guns fall off when you breathe on em. still, great car mode, and overall, not a bad toy! I love the lil steeljaw statue too

OH couple more things. the car doesn't roll too well. steeljaw has no joints but he does have these two tabs on his bum end. so yeah, the toy isn't bad, but the eh articulation, gaps, bland areas that need paint, and other mentioned problems drag the toy down a few notches

Leadfoot is exclusive to Target stores in America, because of the branding used as part of his paint job.

I want this figure RIGHT NOW. Very nicely done.
It finally happened. The Chicago Cubs won the World Series. Yes, I cried.

Its kind of like Basic Instinct, but not in a good way...

Wow, didn’t expect a review to be out for a while! Can’t wait to get Leadfoot, I’ll have to look into doing something to get the guns to stay on better.
