That being said, who wants to commit to buying mine right here, right now? I'm waiting to impact your life with this fine toy.

That this thing exists is a pretty strong indicator that Hasbro has no plans to make a unique-mold Impactor anytime soon.SW's SilverHammer wrote:That being said, like a good 25% of the figures they put out, Impactor kinda deserves his own mold.

Much later, yeah. Meaning that if Hasbro's ever gonna do a new-mold Impactor figure, it won't be for a good while, letting the Club give us this one now instead of later.SW's SilverHammer wrote:Sabrblade wrote:That this thing exists is a pretty strong indicator that Hasbro has no plans to make a unique-mold Impactor anytime soon.SW's SilverHammer wrote:That being said, like a good 25% of the figures they put out, Impactor kinda deserves his own mold.
Yeah I know, but there have been cases when hasbro makes figures of the characters after the club does.

Yeah I know, but there have been cases when hasbro makes figures of the characters after the club does. I mean off the top of my head there was scourge, and Kup, Breakdown (G1/G2) and Sky-Byte. Rumor says there's going to be a new Rewind and eject, and I know it doesn't really count seeing as Takara Tomy is making her for a different market, but there is legends Slipstream.

"Any time soon" meaning within the next year or two. Scourge and Kup have the shortest time between their BotCon and main retail releases: over 1 year.

Look, the point is, it's happened, and it's not completely out of the realm of probability for hasbro to make another impactor down the road, that was my point. I feel this is a serviceable toy that looks like a version of an impactor, but if i want a impactor, i'll just buy the MMC Spartan; if that makes sense. In fact, a better analogy, This impactor feels like Combiner wars Prime, a perfectly serviceable version of some depiction of the character.

Indeed, as the Club figure are merely (rather expensive) retools, they're merely fancy placeholders for some characters, depending. For others, they're well, the only figures available. Hard to gauge what characters Hasbro will do...
JelZe GoldRabbit wrote:Also odd: usually it's Club figure first, then main retail, but now the opposite has happened, fiction notwithstanding (FOC vs. Wings?).
