Keep in mind that the military stuff is often more CGI than practical in action scenes - they weren't flying an F-22 Raptor into cities for Starscream's scenes in the TF 1-3 shoots!TurboMMaster wrote:I think too much cars, not enough not cars. Where are tanks and planes?
Had the extreme pleasure of working on the new Transformers movie with @michaelbay. It's fascinating watching this cat work.
Or to reference another 80's TV show, "The Last Knight of Phoenix."OptimalOptimus2 wrote:"The Last Knight in Phoenix."
(WJBK) - The Transformers are returning to Detroit this summer. The next movie in the Transformers franchise is being filmed partly in Detroit -- and the crew is looking for some local flare.
They have an open casting call for extras. Maryellen Aviano joined us in studio to tell us more about the casting call. You can watch the interview in the video player above, or get the details below.
She says those who are interested should email transformers5extras@gmail.com. Things to include in the email are a recent photograph of yourself and your stats (height, contact info, schedule, etc.) She said most extras will be for those 18 and older, but there may be some spots available for 16-18 year olds.
Extras needed for 'Transformers 5' filming in Detroit
The crew is fresh off filming in the Arizona desert, and will be in Detroit for the next eight weeks. That's the longest they'll be filming at any location for the movie.
"We're trying to hire as many local people in every capacity that we can," Aviano said. "[Director] Michael Bay loves Detroit and loves the iconic landmarks and the architecture."
She said Mark Wahlberg and Josh Duhmel are back for the film, as well as Anthony Hopkins.
"It's just going to be a really great time while we're here," she said.
The fifth installment in the franchise is reportedly titled "Transformers: The Last Knight." IMDB says it's due out in June of 2017.

Humanity would bow down to me!

Yes. Now go to your room and don't play with yourself.

An array of giant metallic contraptions have landed at the long-vacant Packard Plant as preparations are being made for the filming of the next "Transformers" movie.
Among the crumbling concrete of the sprawling former Detroit automotive plant, scenes for the fifth Transformers movie, staring Mark Wahlberg, are beginning to take shape.
Two Chicago Transit Authority trains are positioned as if they careened off their artificial rail lines, and giant gears and machinery lie in pieces around the set.
michaelbay: My talented young co-star of Transformers, Isabela Moner. And and introducing a new character, Squeeks..
