I've never been one for paintings and art and all that, but throw in an Autobot and you've got my interest.

Doh I wanted to post about it but I was at rehearsal and while I could see Twitter fine, I couldn't get onto Seibertron on my phone.

I hope it's not his name so people can get past that the names of the character has to mean something and not the characterization of them.
If he's a good character then it doesn't matter if his name was Wreck-Gar, Scrapheap or Pile-O-Garbage since he was a good character.
Just like how I don't personally care for the majority of Prime characters because their mostly badly written and how their "namesake" doesn't change my opinion.

Transformers: The Last Knight On-Set Photos!
- Motto: "The complain train is leaving the station."
- Weapon: Arc-Welders
The official website for Transformers: The Last Knight has added some set photos. A few of these have been seen before but there are some new ones. Some of the most interesting ones are Josh Duhamel with the military and Mark Wahlberg aiming his alien gun. (We don't think that is a very stable way to hold it though!) There is also a picture of Jarrod Carmichael and Isabela Moner looking startled at something, which makes us wonder what or who that something could be. Stay tuned!

Sir Anthony Hopkins Speaks About Filming Transformers: The Last Knight
- Motto: "The complain train is leaving the station."
- Weapon: Arc-Welders
The Daily Mail had interviewed Sir Anthony Hopkins about a number of different topics, including Transformers: The Last Knight. He seems to have enjoyed working on the film even though he does not know all of the lore about the series. It is very interesting to read his thoughts on the film.
Included with the article is this photo of him with HotRod.
Hopkins plays Sir Edmund Burton, the 12th Earl of Folgan, who has devoted his life to the study of the ancestries of humans and Transformers. He and Mark Wahlberg (as the hero Cade Yeager) team up to make an unlikely alliance to save the world from being destroyed by war between the Transformers and humans.
‘You’re not going to ask me to explain the plot are you?’ he says. ‘Because it’s so very complicated and there’s the whole mythology of four previous films that come into play. I have to admit, I don’t quite get all of it.
‘All I know is I play a highly educated, eccentric English lord. I had a terrific time making it. Mark Wahlberg was wonderful to work with, the locations were excellent [Northumberland, Norway, Arizona, the Isle of Skye and Stonehenge] and I showed up, put my costume on, said my lines and stayed out of trouble. That’s all I ever do. It beats working for a living.’
Hopkins is always at pains to destroy any smug ‘luvviness’ about the acting world. He loathes the painful intensity of the method actors, who insist on staying in character throughout filming (‘what a pain in the ass’) and repeats several times that ‘the greatest difficulty in this business is the sense of entitlement some people have just because of what they do’.

Producer Ian Bryce Talks Digital Security for Transformers: The Last Knight
- Motto: "Till All Are Pun!"
Also related to Transformers: The Last Knight - and following the recent news of Disney's Pirates of the Caribbean hack issue - we have a snippet from a PGA event attended by producer Ian Bryce. The event saw PGA President Lori McCreary discussing the troubles with security for digital products, and the difference with print versions of the same. Check out the specifics below, and here for the whole piece!
McCreary, who admitted that her company had experienced a hack, urged caution and attention to this area, and Transformers: The Last Knight producer Ian Bryce agreed. “We don’t have prints,” he said. “We are sending [digital] footage [around the world to different countries], temp footage to final shots, and people are going to be after it. When you invested $150 million in a production, that’s risky.”

18th June premiere? That's a Sunday. I couldn't get to London even if I wanted to cos lack of public transport here on that day. Also I'd be knackered cos it's show week for my local production of Dad's Army and on that Saturday in particular is tiring cos we got an afternoon and evening performance then the clear out and aftershow party. And yet I bet I'll still cycle the 5 or 6 miles to the car boot sale at about 6am the Sunday morning cos I don't want to miss out on any potential Transformers bargains. I'll see The Last Knight when it's easily available in Cambridge (still a tough journey for me to make at times but is nearest cinema with the comfy chairs of comfiness) hopefully on the 22nd.

I have anxiety, depression and aspergers syndrome so my behaviour can be erratic. I don't mean offense to anyone. Just very picky about my Transformers collecting. You're all cool!

For those not wanting spoilers the first premier for the movie is tomorrow although I don't if there is an embargo or not regarding if people can talk about the movie.
So if I wanted to avoid everything I would stay off starting tomorrow or the next day.

Can I ask why the older generations hate movie designs so much, but people my age love them for technical bits and bobs? I mean, you'd think the older generations would like machine parts more. Guess it's nostalgia getting the best of people. And I guess I'm starting to convert to the Bayverse robits cult.

I think this is more deserving of its own thread; unless I'm missing a specific post or conversation?
Regardless I don't think this is strictly true or something that we can quantify without an actual survey. My experience is in fact the complete opposite - a lot of older people I know either like or don't care about the movies and their designs, while most of my peers think they're pretty terrible (though I'm not sure whether you'd define me as being a 'young' or 'old' generation; I'm 20 1/2 just for the record). I myself don't like them as I find them needlessly and overly complicated to the extent I can't really admire anything about them beyond just the pure skill, time and effort required to design them and put them to screen; even though the biggest thing I should be deriving from a character design would be in how it evokes the character and sets them apart from the others (admittedly, the Autobots have had a decent run of the latter with colour-coding and both factions have highly differing body-types). Also on a less professional level, it just looks plain ugly and unappealing to me.
Though, yes, I would think a lot of the 'criticism' aimed at the Bayformers designs from older Transformers fans would be the whole nostalgia-to-absurd-extents thing this fandom is unfortunately quite renowned for. Of course not a hard-and-fast rule and I expect many of these older fans would dislike them for other reasons - perhaps similar to mine - but I would simply be wearing glasses as rose-tinted as theirs if I didn't count this factor. I'd also be wearing those glasses if I didn't also factor in that there are a lot of people who hate the movies for other reasons and then leap to criticising the designs whether they would like them or not just based on the fact they hate the movies anyway. Talking of other reasons, you've also got to consider how the designs are used and shot beyond just the designs themselves and... and I'm getting off track.
Beyond said nostalgia and rose-tinted glasses though I'm not sure one can generalise like this when I've seen significant like and dislike from any generation. Just depends on your aesthetic tastes and if you can put aside Sideswipe not looking like Sideswipe.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I was just picking a random character who was in the Bay movies and didn't resemble in any way the character they were supposedly based on. Admittedly, that means I could have picked anyone who isn't Optimus or Jazz. Whether or not they had a character in G1 is debatable and I will also enjoy seeing it pointed out that of the G1 cartoon's rather large cast, only a handful had notable character traits. A bit like these movies.

U.S. PREMIERE OF TRANSFORMERS: THE LAST KNIGHT TO BE HELD IN CHICAGO AT THE FAMED OPERA HOUSE ON JUNE 20
Event Sponsored by The H Collective, along with IMAX® and Valvoline
CHICAGO, IL (June 12, 2017) – It was announced today that the U.S. premiere of director Michael Bay’s TRANSFORMERS: THE LAST KNIGHT will take place in Chicago on Tuesday, June 20 at 8:00pm at the Civic Opera House. The event is co-sponsored by The H Collective, a US-based full-service film finance, production, marketing and distribution company, along with IMAX® and Valvoline.

In conjunction with the Chicago Film Office, Mayor Emanuel is proud to premiere TRANSFORMERS: THE LAST KNIGHT in Chicago. The premiere takes place along the Chicago River against the striking backdrop of one of the world's most iconic skylines. Recent investments along the river, including the recently extended 1.25 mile Chicago Riverwalk, demonstrate Mayor Emanuel’s commitment to increasing access to and recreational opportunities in areas that had previously been dormant.

About TRANSFORMERS: THE LAST KNIGHT
The Last Knight shatters the core myths of the Transformers franchise, and redefines what it means to be a hero. Humans and Transformers are at war, Optimus Prime is gone. The key to saving our future lies buried in the secrets of the past, in the hidden history of Transformers on Earth. Saving our world falls upon the shoulders of an unlikely alliance: Cade Yeager (Mark Wahlberg); Bumblebee; an English Lord (Anthony Hopkins); and an Oxford Professor (Laura Haddock).
There comes a moment in everyone’s life when we are called upon to make a difference. In Transformers: The Last Knight, the hunted will become heroes. Heroes will become villains. Only one world will survive: theirs, or ours.

A video was uploaded yesterday from the popular Australian automotive Youtube channel Mighty Car Mods, sponsored by Transformers The Last Knight, featuring the hosts trying to create a car that would be quite the robot racer in disguise, as they try to make the fastest quarter-mile car they can from the most boring car they can find. For that, they travel all the way to Japan to pick up an 80's Toyota Cresta, send it back to their shop to see if, despite the unassuming exterior, they can turn it into one of their fastest quarter mile racers yet!
Were they successful? Find out below, as the entire video has been linked for your viewing convenience.
