I mean I get what it's trying to say but it's really awkward
In any case red is cool. Like I said when the car mode was revealed, probably trying to bring it closer to the RiD 2015 cartoon design.
The RID scheme was apparently based on an early color scheme for AoE Drift.
That pose look familiar?
Huh, interesting. It's still very... questionable to me why they went with a prototype colour scheme for RiD 2015 rather than matching either IDW or Movie, but that's a discussion for another time and isn't an actual flaw or anything. Just weird to me.

I mean, Drift's design always looked like it couldn't possibly transform anyways, but this is just ridiculous.
That's my deal with it. The car is mostly black, with red accents. How does he transform into a mostly red robot?

It's called concept art.

Ah, beat me to it. Hoist by your own ignorance there, Ol' Sly.
Those don't count.
Why don't they count? You said Grimlock never bale and leader of the Autobots, were proven wrong, and then it doesn't count? What's your criteria? to count?

The car kibble gets flipped inside out. The last toy did it with the shoulder pads by folding the sides to reveal the inside.
That's one opinion, one I disagree with. They should definitely do something about the head and face, though.Deadput wrote:dbelleman wrote:tweaked
And I now see why the movies stick with realistic colors and not use the G1 colors.
Just looks cheesy and dumb it's good work but it would not work in a movie.

Because the general audience who were asking for Hot Rod to be in the movie don't care about the Marvel Comics. They probably don't even know they exist.
Erm, Michael Bay isn't the one who makes the robot mode designs for the movie TFs.Nerdimus Maximus wrote:Michael Bay has been putting the absolutely ugliest and goofiest faces on to these Transformers' characters. The faces don't look like Transformers to me but some hideous organic-nightmare. The character designs need more attention to the faces and make them look like Transformers, you know, actual robots! This is movie 5 and Bay has YET to get this right. WHY do they keep making money when they are "Blasphemy" to Transformers?![]()

Because the wider movie-going public doesn't see the franchise as a religion.Nerdimus Maximus wrote:Michael Bay has been putting the absolutely ugliest and goofiest faces on to these Transformers' characters. Yes. Now go to your room and don't play with yourself.
Madeus Prime wrote:I think his point is that generally the public likes robots that look like robots, and not mishy mashy alien creatures made of metal. Ex. Pacific Rim, Iron Man, or Ultron. One only has to look at how Marvel has updated its corny designs (looking at you Cap, Falcon and Hawkeye) into the badassery that we know and, personally speaking, love. It stuns me that the studio and designers behind the TF movie franchise haven't even once done that (taken a classic and honored design and updated it without actually changing that much, case in point: Thor)

Seriously thought we would benefit from Disney's help in making these movies.
