That's where I'm at. I don't understand how people can be confused by this. It's just Megatron. Just accept the fact that he probably changed his name again.

There's a difference between people being confused because they don't get something, and being confused because new information contradicts all the information one currently has, that has been presented to and inferred by them. Guess which one we are

Alright so what I have gathered here is this:

#1. Megatron possibly has infected Optimus Prime somehow in this new movie and is taking control of him.

#2. Megatron is probably getting a new medieval redesign, probably along with a lot of other characters, due to the name of the movie.

#3. This is only speculation, but I am slightly wondering if since this is called "The Last Knight", and Optimus seems to be under some sort of evil influence, if this will open the way for a Rodimus Prime character to step in. Either that, or since Grimlock and the other Dinobots are called "Knights", maybe Grimlock will have a more prominent role in this movie other than just being a ride-on toy?

#4. If Optimus is in fact NOT being controlled, maybe this purple eyed Optimus is an imposter similar to that of the Optimus imposter from the Transformers Prime show?


Now here are some hopes I have for this movie:

#1. I really hope Soundwave comes back as either just an upgraded form of himself with Rumble or another minion, or as Soundblaster. I also hope that this movie has other characters introduced such as Cyclonus, and possibly some returning characters such as Starscream. I think it would also be cool to see some other Seekers make appearances, even if they don't look anything like Starscream. Another character I am dying to see would be Ultra Magnus.

#2. I Hope most of this movie takes place in space. It seems to be something that the last movie hinted at, and I hope our speculation is correct.

#3. Even though I know most others will disagree with me, I hope there will be at least some references to Sam Witwicky in this movie, if not a full appearance. I think it WOULD be cool to see a more mature Sam Witwicky some years after the whole DOtM thing happened.

All in all, I am pretty excited about this one, and have higher hopes for this one than I did for the previous ones.

Well, not around here - that's all I care about, and yeah, I was confused too, as I said, it's likely because it contradicts what we've been told up until now - and not even in a small way - I just happened to roll with it and came up with rational explanations for it.

I honestly can't see how people can be genuinely confused about this, as we've seen how frequently and easily tf's have updated themselves (I mean f$%k, o/p reformatted himself with people inside of him in aoe )

A couple things I thought of this morning I thought would be good speculation pieces:

#1. This image of "Megatron" may in fact not be Megatron. I was thinking about this earlier, and am now wondering if this is in fact a new character in SEARCH for Megatron. Sort of like Lugnut from TF Animated.

#2. That morse code message teased a couple days ago is very intriguing. This most definitely is not a new Decepticon doing this message, since "I'm coming for you humans" seems to signify that whoever sending this message has a hate for the humans possibly due to some sort of past defeat relating to them. This also, though may be Megatron, seems unlikely to be Megatron. However, you know what character we still don't know exactly what happened to? Soundwave. A morse code message seems to be something Soundwave would do, and after DotM, we still don't know exactly what happened to Soundwave. Maybe we will see this cold-hearted Decepticon's return in this new movie? Personally, I think that would be amazing.

Seemingly, however it is quite possible that he can return somehow. Megatron lost his head, and he returned. Soundwave was shot from within his chest cavity, but it is not 100% definite that he is permanently dead. I don't exactly remember, but from I can remember, that's the last time we saw him. It is quite possible that he may return in a form such as "Soundblaster". I know it's speculation, and it probably is not going to happen, but it seems like something that Bay would do. I think we are going to see some returning Decepticons, and I am hoping they do Cyclonus in some form.

I hope Cyclonus is kinda like Lockdown to where he's on nobody's side. Either that or he is only loyal to Galvatron, and doesn't care what any other Decepticon or Autobot thinks. Kinda like... SOUNDWAVE.

I'm not sure how they could bring back wave. When Bee killed him, he shot him through the chest upwards, blowing his head up and off in the process. So his head and spark are kinda kablamo...

And no bad guy Cyclonus. MTMTE has done too good a job making him an awesome character

Soundwave is a popular character and one of the main Decepticons in the entire Transformers franchise. If they want to bring him back, they'll bring him back - which honestly makes killing off key characters like him a mistake as it only makes it a hassle to explain later. Like with Megatron in ROTF. And Megatron in DoTM. And Megatron-Galvatron in AoE. And Megatron in this movie.

Exactly. That's why not too much brain twisting speculation is needed when it comes to Bay movies. All you have to do really is see what characters characters were most popular, and then just guess that they'll come back. Heck, Barricade might even come back.

I think they could easily explain a Soundwave return by saying the one that was destroyed was simply a drone controlled by the satellite Soundwave staying safe up in space. That isn't at all outside the realm of Soundwave's capabilities in just about any fiction with all of his minions and drones. Heck, they could write off just about any Decepticon death by saying it was Soundwave's puppet.
