And unless we get an MP Barricade, I think that'll be all I get in terms of movie toys.

Regarding the prices, bear in mind that in this country, Deluxes are now £20 and Voyagers £30, so you guys can consider yourselves lucky. Especially as this price hike means that the prices over here are almost certainly going up too.

This bit makes me laugh. Yes, that's right, give your $80 Masterpiece figure to your 8 year old.

Although, seeing as how he is based on his first movie body, I imagine that means Prime will also be based on his first movie self, either as another release of the RotF leader or as a new figure similar to it. If that happens, no thanks, I'm good. I still want a really good knight Prime, but if it is his first movie self, at least it definitely saves me some money for a potential really good Barricade (if that is him)

in the movie, BB is a concept camarro, and instead of doing that they gave him the 2010 camaro model.

That car mode is identical to the one he got in the 2007 movie. I'm not really sure why you think they're different?

Because they are.
In the film, he transforms into a 2006 concept camaro, but this toy transforms into a 2010-2013 Camaro SS.

Some of the details look closer to the 2010-2013 Camaro SS, but as many, if not more, are closer to the actual '06 Concept Camaro.

I don't know what to say to the people who actually care about minor differences most people would never notice.
At least he doesn't transform into something drastically different like lets say this

Also for the people who are going to complain about the price this is the normal price for Hasbro masterpiece car bots.

"Does it convert?" "Does it ever!" No, it transforms. IT TRANSFORMS. SAY IT! hehe. yeah i know the reasons why they don't but it still amuses me.
Likes: Bayverse, Marvel UK G1, Geoff Senior art, '86 movie (more for style/soundtrack rather than Star Wars plot)
Dislikes: Bumblebee movie (lousy rehashed dumb crud), TFA, G1 cartoon, IDW G1, BW/BM, MP. The entire concept of Autobot Megatron

I've never been entirely clear on why they can't say "transform". What's stopping them?

Also It makes you wonder if Takara make their own version would it have bonus shoulder rocket launchers on it (perhaps as an Amazon exclusive) ?
Also the original (and the production model) have a black B pillar and the toy has a yellow one.

Perhaps this will help :
From The Wiki : http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Trademark
Hasbro has realised that using the word "transform" as a verb to describe the process of changing a Transformers toy from one mode into another one would make the brand name "Transformers" descriptive, making the mark indefensible. The end result would have been a loss of the mark Transformers as a registered trademark, allowing competitors to use it as a generic term for their shape-shifting robot toys and thus creating further confusion among parents when asked to buy a Transformer.
As a consequence, the use of "transform" as a verb when being used to describe Transformers product is almost strictly forbidden in certain written materials:[4] If it's a toy that "converts", Hasbro can argue that Transformers is not merely a descriptive term, thus allowing for trademark protection to persist. Although this mandate does not extend to character dialogue within fiction, synonyms like "convert" (or simply "change") are used in Hasbro's own products (like packaging call-outs and instructions) and in licensees' products (such as game guides). Even the novels Transformers: Exodus and Transformers: Exiles, unusually for actual fiction, avoid using "transform" as a verb - always replaced with either "proto-form" (the first usage of such term as a verb) or "alt-form", depending on the mode into which a Cybertronian is shifting.
As a matter of fact, "Transformer" (specifically "with a capital initial") is listed in the Oxford English Dictionary as a description of "a type of children's toy, first manufactured in Japan, consisting of a model robot which can be transformed into another toy". However, since the term is identified as a "proprietary name" and Hasbro is specifically mentioned in the name etymology, the entry makes it pretty clear that the term is not a catch-all description of a general product type, but tied to a specific manufacturer, hence posing no threat to Hasbro's exclusive claim of the trademark.[5] The fact that the entry has been in the dictionary since 1993 also implies that Hasbro has never seen any need for intervention. (The same dictionary also has an entry for Mattel's "Barbie", for that matter.)
Many Hasbro competitors have used "transform" as a verb on their toy packaging in the past. More recently, however, some such as Mattel and LEGO have changed (ha ha) to using terms like "convert" and "shift" instead. Whether this is due to Hasbro legal intervention is, at the moment, pure conjecture.
