look alike! LOOK ALIKE! THEY'RE FROM THE SAME BLOODY MOLD PAL!(albeit with a bit of a retool) or are you just willing to refuse to accept it because it's ME that your talking to? coz had it been someone else that had made a similar comment....then you might've said something along the lines of "y'know...you could be right about that"(or certainly a more positive response) & then proceed to proverbially pat them on the back.

Dude, no. You're just wrong. They're not using the same mold, they're using similar character models, that's all.
Unless you can prove beyond a shadow of a doubt that Hasbro is using a 3P mold. In which case, I'm sure many of us who have said you're wrong will stand corrected and apologise accordingly.

It's basically for the fans that do like the headmaster line, so that they can have a display with them all in scale, at least they gave us the option to go this route instead of having one towering over the others

Great characters like galvatron, sentinel prime and astrotrain shouldn't be headmasters in the first place.

Sentinel prime was bad ass in megatron origins I loved his power suit like iron man. He valiantly stood against but was ultimately viciously killed by megatron. He was a good predecessor in his nature to optimus and came off really well.
I always liked astrotrain in g1 and idw have given him a nice new lease of life as the grumpy sarcastic transport. I just don't think these characters deserve to be stained by being headmasters.

Prowl4 wrote:So we finally get a voyager astrotrain, galvatron and the first toy of sentinel prime and they're bloody headmasters when they've never been headmasters before. So annoyed. t
Except later we find out that Sentinel was a nasty, dictatorial thug who had his predecessor Nominus Prime assassinated and was responsible for several crimes and murders. So the final battle between him and Megatron wasn't a "hero vs villain" fight but a "villain vs villain" one.Prowl4 wrote:Sabrblade wrote:Sentinel Prime and Astrotrain are "great characters"? As I said above if you read my comments, the characters mentioned never have been headmasters. Galvatron idw states his hatred for headmasters.
It stains the characters by having a crap gimmick that they never had previously. They're their own character not some body being piloted.
I've no problem with the likes of brainstorm and chromedome and the likes who've always been headmasters to make a return but to make characters like galvatron, sentinel, astrotrain, scourge and blurr into headmasters is hugely disappointing.

1 - There's a bunch of Headmaster characters that haven't received modern (licensed) updates ... why utilise a character that was never a Headmaster?
2 - Astrotrain already has a modern update. Why another one?
(Same could be said for Galvatron but I know his modern update is disliked more than duragrip)
