Yup your right. I think the robot mode is cool and I like the headmaster component, but am I the only one a bit let down by the base mode? It doesnt look like part of a city, just a sprawled out robot.

Wheelie is also one of my favourites :) And I too am surprised. I am impressed they wored in a cockpit that can work with the titan masters.

You have to admire their commitment to cross-selling that play pattern. Even the tape-bots feature connectors to sit the titan masters astride them.

Wheelie looks brilliant.

Same. Someone might could finagle the classic look, but I'm not sure how. Also uncomfortable with how unarmed Fort Max seems to be. Even Cerebros doesn't appear to have any weaponry!

Alright finally got caught up on all the posts since everything went down. I couldn't be happier with all the titans return stuff. I'm really glad they are using a different head for rumble and eventually frenzy instead of the one from the render. I'm still holding onto hope that there's more reveals tomorrow, preferably Computron and Liokaiser.

As for the letting g1 rest thing, I would have to disagree with it. I see no reason to stop doing g1 characters. G1 started the brand and also was released the longest ago so they would need updates more than other figures in my mind. That being said, it wouldn't kill them to do some other generation updates or just new characters in general.

Blur in robot mode to me kinda reminds me(now i never said he LOOKS like) of Generations Whirl! or at least the torso section does!

Prime still has those prominent looking Ultra Magnus legs!

Hardhead definitely looks the most like his original

Chromedome in vehicle mode looks ok! just his legs in robot mode look wrong to me! canny put my finger on it as to why?

Wheelie looks great(yeah....i've stepped up from ok to great)

Fort Max is a definite must! granted he's not G1 accurate(no tower cockpit for Emissary figure, no hip cannons, no accurate G1 city mode, no Gasket/Grommet or Scamper repainted as Cog! which i thought they might've done!) Oh....i take it it'll suffer from the same thing as the Hasbro Metroplex? only sound fx but no voice fx! & maybe only one gun!(if it comes with a gun? or guns).

Man, I'm really not feeling the overall aesthetic with these. Everything's so blocky and formless, with greebles for the sake of greebles. Nothing feels like a functional machine, just a mass of geometric forms. And this universal gimmick results in everyone having weird block heads -- Scourge and Chromedome's noggins don't work as cubes.

"But it's G1!" Bleh, count me as one who just doesn't care. Give me that stealth bomber Scourge any day of the week.

I agree. Wheelie was the surprise winner for me from the show. The Titan master integration in his vehicle mode is awesome.

I still think Hardhead is my favorite deluxe but Chromedome & Blurr aren't far behind. The titan master storage in Mindwipe's alt mode is pretty cool too.

It has a city/base mode too but it still doesn't resemble the G1's version all that much.

I don't think you have to on computer, maybe use one of those ;)

It basically does the same thing as the G1 head, except with ball joints, and he has titanic back kibble

unbelievable, you're right. they even left the hinge from an entirely different transformation and relating character on him on the FRONT. so, together with his legs opening fortmax can literally transform into metroplexe's city mode sans the flight deck and ramp.

i would rather see an add on kit for the g1 mold that gives it more articulation than this thing

I dunno, I think it works alright. Besides, I bet you can swivel the legs up to be more tower-esque. Yeah, I don't think it'll be quite as close to a building as the original can look, but I think I'm willing to make sacrifices there when the bot mode is so spectacular.

By the way, how tall is he? About 2 feet, same as Metroplex; he certainly looks to be at LEAST that tall.

He's said to be as tall as Metroplex with his black shoulder cannons pointing straight up, so technically taller than Metroplex.
