While I agree, I am still really surprised with that reversal of colours we all accepted at that time. The megatrons would have purple (RID, Armada, Cybertron) and the Galvatrons would all be white/ silver.

By all accounts on the current mindset, the one below should be Megatron

While the one above should be Galvatron, no? Especially since he also homages Unicron armour in proper colour.

Energon Megatron was grey BUT as I pointed out once, the whole point of that toy was that it was an homage to Galvatron.

Honestly, rid did the same thing, and it was so sweet 8-)

White/silver, dark purple, gold and black go together so well, and look so evil, like a poisoned angel. Rid galvatron just looked evil, but, like evil on a higher level than the other 'cons, it was great :BOWDOWN:

I don't think we're off topic, this has to do with the deco for a galvatron figure - what works and why, so I think we're safe :WHISTLE:

I forgot about rid galvatron, again that is an amazing deco and I love the way that these colour schemes subvert the colour white which you normally associate with good guys, making galvy some kind of fallen angel...which is ironic as that was the name of an issue of the marvel UK series where galvatron popped in to say hi :-P

I do wonder what the titan returns galvy would look like with a colour scheme lifted from any of the Galvatrons from the unicron trilogy

I'm genuinely unsure of what to think of that Galvatron colourscheme. It's a nice colour but on that figure it looks hideous. I might go for the Takara version instead (or Mania King).

Now if they released him in Energon Megatron colours (so white with blue detailing and a mint green cannon) I'd buy it in a heartbeat. That colourscheme rocked.

Ho yeah that deco rocked 8-)

I loved that the UT pushed so many boundaries and really explored what characters could be, a really creatively free time for hasbro, shame that's almost gone now

To be fair to RiD Megatron/Galvatron, he wasn't supposed to be a Megatron/Galvatron in the first place. :oops:

Though, Devil Gigatron's white deco was supposed to be associated with "death", as Gigatron got that upgrade of his after he died, awakening in his Final Form, Devil Saurer.

Posted on the Ozformers Facebook page courtesy of Hasbro Australia we get some new looks at upcoming Transformers Titans Return toys. Of particular note here is the first look at the Astrotrain redeco of Sentinel Prime with a new head of course. Other Titans Return figures include Galvatron, Ravage and Titan Master Crashbash. Also shown is Combiner Wars G2 Bruticus.

The TT version will of course take the anime colors of purple on gray. 2016-2017 is sure gonna be an exciting and expensive year for us. :-(

Galavtron looks cool (hoping for a Marvel/G1-toy recolour though)

Astrotrain looks decent in bot and shuttle mode... train not so much.

Ravage looks awful... just absolutely terrible. Even my knock off USB device label Ravage I bought for a few quid looks far better (and is more useful).

Ah, that's better. A shame about the unpainted headmaster, but Galvatron looks soooooooooooo much better here.

galvatron does look much better there. we'll see. Who knows, they might start releasing a bunch of colour variations to get the most out of a mould which might not have too many recolour possibilities.

astrotrain looks excellent in robot mode. I will defy be getting him over his autobot counterpart. Having said that though, I brought my generations astrotrain figure out the other day and must admit his alt modes were better or perhaps more convincing than this new one...

Astrotrain figure looks good, space shuttle mode looks little bulky, his train mode looks weird guns, wings in center of train is it suppose to be an armored battle train

Looks like I was right about Galvatron's colors being wrong on the video (suck it Will :-P

) he looks really nice in hand. Astrotrain looks great too, tyre head sculpt is awesome and you can't really tell he's a headmaster. Ravage looks ok, better than stripes which isn't really saying much. I wonder if those things on his back can fold down to make him look a bit better. So I'm assuming ravage is in wave 2 but I really hope we'll get a fourth legends in wave 1.

Astrotrain's train mode is mistranformed at one extremity. And I really hope he comes with 2 guns because that resulting asymetry at the centre is not great. Ravage is bad but we all new that when we saw stripes. And I thought FOC Ravege was bad. How is it that the universe Ravage from almost 10 years ago is better than every version since, including the MP?!

Galvatron looks awesome. Aside from Ravage, these are all sure buys.

Yeah, Ravage gets the short end of the stick a lot it would seem.

One neat thing about Astrotrain is that even mistransformed like that, it makes sense- the "official" configuration resembles a big ol' dieselpunk armoured train complete with cow catchers, whereas the mistransformation gives him a sort of futuristic bullet-train look (which admittedly doesn't work all that well with the massive chunks of armour and turrets on the body of the train, but it's something).

I wonder if he's compatible with Takara's Plarail series?

I'm just yanking your chain, but I must admit I was slightly worried that they changed the color to that terrible pink too. You can imagine how relieved I was when these pictures came out.
