Well you see, I am a big Autobot/Maximal guy. Bad guys usually don't tickle my fancy much. Now CW was one of those that was like "hell yes" and I got all those suckers. But Beast cons don't do it for me too much. I love headmasters, but I just don't have the space for the cons. Plus, RiD has me covered with cons as they are all original, really cool, animal based but with vehicle modes, and overall I really love that line. So I gotta give somewhere. Plus, I also really don't have a specific connection to them. Almost all the Autobots listed that I want are Lost Lighters, with a few exceptions, so that's why they stick out with me. And I love Astrotrain, and now I am just in need of a Galvatron and Rodimus to go with Optimus and Megatron

Depends on who's doing botcon. This is the last one done with the current organisers.

Wolves actually have much bigger paws than domesticated dogs, so the "chunky" paws on Weirdwolf aren't all that odd when you know that.
Not that big. It just looks a bit too cartoony for my tastes. The third-party Weirdwolf shown above has better legs. Eh I still might get him anyways and paint one as Carnivac as it should be an improvement on the Cybertron Snarl I own that I also repainted as Carnivac. And I might get another to repaint as a Siberian Husky like my family dog whom I still very much miss.
Another option for you might be the BotCon 2007 "Games of Deception" Weirdwolf, a redeco (and a very good one, at that) of the Cybertron Snarl mold. He's not a Headmaster, obviously, but that mold just oozes charm, especially with Weirdwolf's colors.
Also, sorry to hear about your woofy.

Oh, I have a couple beast formers. But the Predacons from Prime Beast Hunters just aren't a lot of fun to me. Rhinox is amazing and Rattrap is good, just fiddly. The big thing is all the beasts are cons. Now if we got say a headmaster Tigerhawk, I'd be all over that like Va'al is all over Alpha Bravo.

Careful, now. The way Va'al is all over Alpha Bravo may still technically be illegal in some states.

TFWiki says it is, and having gray limbs and a yellow body is very Grimlock-like. Still, the colors are strange, I wonder if he'll really have the black face shown in the render? On the bright side if they do make a full-on Grimlock figure the Titan Master will probably have better colors and a blue visor.
TFWiki also says Skytread will have the tank/jet vehicle. No word on Brawn.
As far as lists go, I like everything so I'm just going to pickup whatever I can afford as I find it.
The fact sheet that gave us our first look at Fort Max last year priced him at $179.99. Considering the Hasbro retail version doesn't come with any weapons aside from the canons on his shins I'm going to see what Takara Tomy does and likely go with that one. At its size it'll probably be cheaper to get off of TFSource with the free shipping even with a markup rather than importing.

Yeah, I think it will be more worthwhile that way. I dont know why but importers just seem to have a certain markup that is inconsequential to the size of the product being imported. BBTS asks 70-80$ for MP bumblebee when you can import him for 40$ shipped and yet charge about 135$ for their Takara combiners which cost about the same price when you import it yourself since the shipping is higher.
So it always seems more advantageous to import smaller items that have a high value, like the MP line but get the giant items from importers to save on that big shipping cost.
If anyone wants to know, Devastator was 6,000 Yen to ship from Japan to North America.

Thanks but nooo I've been wanting to replace that Snarl as Carnivac custom for years cos I'm bored of that mold (and it's silly wolf head instead of right hand) it was good for it's time and the wolf form is great but I want something fresh and better articulated (particularly in the robot leg area)
Also, sorry to hear about your woofy.Pets are family, and it's hard to be without them.
Thanks, it's been many years but any pet you really connect with especially one that you grew up with just stays in the memories.

I have anxiety, depression and aspergers syndrome so my behaviour can be erratic. I don't mean offense to anyone. Just very picky about my Transformers collecting. You're all cool!

Love the fact that most G1 headmasters will be reborn for Titants Return. This way, I can own most of these characters without having to sell a kidney.

That was only the price listed for the SDCC Exclusive. The standard retail version will be the same price as Devastator, that was confirmed recently (dont remember where).

Assuming Takara doesn't do terribly on the colours I think it's probably worth just getting Takara Max since he has the sword.

Correction, he has two swords, one for the big guy himself and one for fortress/cerebros

Are 2 swords worth 60$ extra cost to you? Its a real question since that is the import markup and close to the shipping price if you'd import it yourself. I made the jump last year for Devastator because Takara had actually designed that toy and I wanted to get their true vision of it in all its functionality. But this time, it's a Hasbro design and not even a mold made entirely for the character (its a retool). So spending all that extra money (or even what Hasbro is asking) isn't really worth it to me. Unless Takara changes the actual mold to give him a real city mode of course.

I am 100% certain a 3rd party company will help out with that. And I do hope it will be less than 50$. If its more then getting the Takara version might be the better option.
Then again, you could just get the SDCC version for 180$ from HTS later this year. That could be a good compromise

While, I'm glad the news Titan masters minis (Flywheels, Brawn, Grimlock and Apeface) will be getting vehciles based on their alt modes, I would prefer Hasbro not to use proper Tfs and instead focus on the Headmasters/Transtectors that didn't have bodies/partners, like Sappo aka Jack
