I'm well aware of that. I'm just saying there's no reason to give him an actual humanoid robot mode.

His dino head will come off and transform into Fulltilt, or whoever his little car buddy usually is. It's possible

You dont know what you are missing Cobo, those G1 shows are really good. High quality, mature and rarely contain animation errors.
Also, if you want the full japanese G1 experience, you have to watch Masterforce in japanese without the subtitles. Because the subtitles often lose the meaning of the poetic words.

I mean... it's either watching a subbed version which doesn't quite nail the poetic wordplay due to different language conventions... or watching a non-subbed version where I won't be able to understand a word being said.
Think I'll go sub.

Headmasters and Super-God Masterforce (where Overlord is from) are really good. Just saying. I'm glad Overlord is so likely to be released in Titans Return that it might as well be confirmed. I really liked him in God Masterforce, despite him having a bit of a confusing character concept taking the mythology of the Masterforce Cartoon into account. Seriously, if Giga and Mega's personalities make him, how is he acting as a separate entity!?

They gave him one in the Universe line, so technically there already is a Classics Trypticon out there and he has a robot mode

A lot of people seem to hate The Headmasters for its being not as fun or as charming as the G1 cartoon, but if you're of the opinion that the G1 cartoon could have had more of an actual story and more of an edge to it, The Headmasters does do just that. Death, murder, torture, and longterm consequences are abundant throughout The Headmasters. A massive game-changer even occurs within the first act of the show, in the two-part episodes 9 and 10. Scorponok/MegaZarak is also quite a competent and calculating villain in comparison to Megatron and Galvatron, being an outsider to the Decepticon cause who doesn't care for Galvatron's ambitions, seeing them as trivial, small-minded, or ridiculous. Once he takes over for good in the final act of the series, he sets his sights on a longterm endgame that veers straight across the rest of the series towards the series finale. And then there's Sixshot, arguably the best character in the whole series. A lethal ninja commander who proves himself time and again as a force to be reckoned with throughout the show, and undergoing a sharp change in his character growth towards the series' end.Kurona wrote:From what I've heard of Masterforce I think I would like it, yeah - heck, it's the only one of the three G1 anime I think I would like. Headmasters being bogged down in the previous G1 cartoon's setting would make it very difficult for me to take seriously, and Victory looks a bit too... generic.
But Masterforce looks fun. Just the right mix of cheesy and anime for me; especially with Ginrai basically looking like a budget Kamina. Love me some Gurren Lagann. I'll probably get around to it one day.
