If you can post chronologically the bits and pieces of Metroplex's reveal a few years ago the same way you are stating the reveal of Trypticon is undergoing (the Hb reveal specifically) then I'll shut my trap then.

I never said it wasn't done yet. Obviously it is because there's only a year until it hits shelves. What I said is there's no full images yet, which there isn't. If you can say yay the two teaser base mode pictures are full reveals then I think you need to reevaluate your definition of full. And no they didn't do this for Metroplex but again I never stated that they did. We didn't see anything of the last three titans officially until toy fair. The only reason we're getting images of Trypticon this early is because it was a fan vote. Like I said it wouldn't make any sense to do a full reveal a YEAR know advance.

It's just a teaser. I don't see what's difficult to understand about them just showing off one part of it to tease us.

Is it just me or does Perceptor's gun seem to be based directly on the sniper rifle he had in AHM and Last Stand of the Wreckers?







Right down to the barrel and little two-pronged stand. It doesn't look anything like his original toy weapon to be sure.

Preceptor looks awesome and I totally didn't notice the gun, that just makes it better. I'm so glad I sold the RTS one.

I really hope Ehobby or someone makes a magnificus version of this mold. That would be awesome.

Just like the unofficial photos of Blaster which I found and posted a year or two ago. It came from an unofficial site. And he was technically complete but in gray iirc. Would it hurt Hb at all to just have them officially release it?

Asking those around here supposedly in the know .........how is it gonna hurt Hb if images of their toys are leaked? Industrial espionage? KOing? Taking the thunder off their conventions? Item not ready yet? (If the last factor.....then don't release just 10% of the product)

With regards to having pictures and embargos and stuff: The only thing any of the staff gets early are the comic books, and that's so we can review them. In the time I've been here, we've got no images that we were not allowed to share. Every image we get is either from Seibertron himself to news, from someone reporting it, or from us finding it ourselves. If we find stuff out early, it's because it is our job to find it and news it so everyone else can know about it too. And it's all volunteer work too; our payment is seeing some gorgeous stuff and showing it off to you guys.

As for Trypticon, I've stated before that I've really been disappointed in things being revealed way too early. Last June we knew what the final waves of Combiner Wars would have; In July we have the full Victorion revealed, and she wasn't released until May. We have a list that supposedly has all the figures coming out next year. That's a bit boring to me and disappointing. I don't like knowing that far in advance sometimes. When RiD Starscream came out, it was awesome because no one knew it was coming and it was refreshing to get a figure that we didn't know was coming. I liked that a lot.

As for Perceptor: I did not notice the gun before, but it is a great match for his IDW gun

What are you talking about? Every single image that has been shown of Trypticon has been an official image. The leg is a teaser and if you don't know how teasers work they're little parts of things to get people hyped up for the final product. It's a very common marketing tactic. Your Lord and savoir Takara does it all the time with unite warriors.

Like I keep saying, and you obviously keep ignoring, the product doesn't come out for a WHOLE YEAR. They're not going to fully reveal something that far in advance just to please a few fans. It doesn't make sense. No other company fully reveals a product that far ahead. It kills the hype to give everything all at once. By spacing it out it ensures that people will be talking about it for a long time.

Kidding aside, I am on your side steal your goats, but Hasbro seems to have changed their reveal strategy of late so I can see how some people are confused. They revealed the first titans return toys 8 months before their anticipated release in stores (exactly a year ago now, at the last NYCC) and contrast that to this year where part of the reveals was Triggerhappy and Twinferno who are supposed to come out in about 2 months from now.

So a change in strategy. Which in fact backs up what I posted. Before they release when they are ready now, they do the drip drip reveal. Regardless whether they actually have the product or not. I also see they're selling Deluxes for the previous MSRP in CW as opposed to the ridiculous £20 some places are charging for them. Which is a shame when you can't select which deluxe you want

Are any of you still hesitant about picking up some Titans Return figures or hoping for clearance sales? Or just for them to return to Hasbro Toy Shop or another online store? Well you might want to get them now before it is too later because every Titans Return product, from all size classes, is currently sold out at the main distributor level, that being Hasbro. That means that while your retail store may still have many (and can still get some more from the chain's warehouses), Walmart, Toysrus and every other store selling these toys can no longer order more from Hasbro and hope to get more stock in before the next wave. Every order placed for the Titans Return line becomes a backorder and will only be filled out when the new stock arrives (ie wave 3).

This is gathered by messages sent to me by Hasbro proper since I needed replacements for both a deluxe and a leader figure. Below are the parts from two different messages ragarding this:

Regrettably, our Powermaster figure is currently unavailable and a product of equal value will be ordered from our warehouse.

This product (Titans Return Leader) is currently on back order and will ship to you as soon as inventory is replenished.

A replacement figure or a different figure of equal value will be sent but this line is on back order right now.

Since we know Wave 2 is out, that means the back order is for wave 3, which is not out or available yet. This is further proven by Power Master Prime being the Leader figure packages with Soundwave who, as you read, is unavailable from the manufacturer.
This would explain why several Amazon listings are marked as "discontinued from the manufacturer"








This is no cause for alarm but good news that the toyline is selling very well and probably better than anticipated. However, this does indicate that these first two waves will likely never be on clearance, nor show up at market six store, and will not be around for long. Amazon proper is already sold out of several of these toys. This seems to happen every time with new lines, but now we have some extra proof to back it up, so if you are tempted by any of these toys, get them before it is too late.

Just reading about 6 shot. What the slag is this so called "submarine mode". It's just his gun mode turned upside down for Primus' sake. Is this kind of getting ridiculous? It's a futuristic or if you want to be specific, alien looking but no way you can mistake it to a weapon action figure mode. Is the domestic market of the USA so "safety" conscious that they would designate this a "submarine"?

Is there a gun out there that would look like this and be a threat?

Would a kid like point this to a person of authority in a threatening way?

Why not give it a designation as a focused energy projection spark disrupting device with offensive potential instead?

Does the article apply globally? Like, is selling out so extremely quickly in the US and Canada affecting availability in the UK too?

It should be an extremely obvious answer but I'm starting to get worried. Glad I picked up Chromedome; now I just have to prioritise Skullsmasher, Wolfwire and Rewind.

Would I be correct in assuming that although my local TRU only has wave 1 products on shelves, there are most likely some wave 2 products waiting in whatever storehouse they retrieve products from?
