You mean he's bigger than Leader Class right?:

The TakaraTomy suggested prices for the figures are:
Voyager: 5000 yen
Godbomber: 7000 yen
Leader (eg. Blaster): 8000 yen
Super Ginrai: 8500 yen

As mentioned before, price isn't just based on plastic content but number of parts, complexity of manufacture, complexity of deco, and a bunch of other stuff. That's why a big chunky Rescue Bot and a fiddly skinny Deluxe can come in at similar prices.

How about a box set price?
william-james88 wrote:LE0KING wrote:That, the bird clone, a beast deluxe and a primal head would make a decent jungle planet box. Who would be the leader figure though?
But dont these boxes confirm that there really is no theme for the bots themselves?
RAR wrote:Perhaps If God Bomber was released on his own they could justify the Leader Price point with a bonus item like a couple of extra Titanmaster heads or even a full head and vehicle combo - that is suggestive of Roller. failing that there is always a bonus weapon as an option. But they can justify the release with a decent premium paint job and no gosh darn stickers on it too.
(releasing it on it's own is only really practical if they sell the Super Ginrai Optimus too or mod it so it fits on PM Prime too).
So I tend to think the logical place for it is as the leader in one of the eventual 4 probable boxed sets.
I wouldn't object to strongly if the other leader in the 4th set is Thunderwing either - but i'm not going to cry to much if it's Diatlus either - But I guess Thunderwing is a problem now they have already done the head.
In a way it's a shame they didn't make the retail Optimus that spiffy G2 deco - Though I get why they didn't do that - and I do like the usual Optimus colour version a lot too. I do look at that mould and think aside from the Tanker alt more there is a bit of hint of Thunderclash about him too - but then I thought the same thing about CW Motormaster too.
In a way it's a shame than the Turbomasters may be scattered in the next bunch of gimmicks - as they'd have made a pretty terrific Combiner Team too.

Qwan wrote:Honestly, I don't think having a Thunderwing head is too much of an indicator that we won't get one necessarily. We got a Brawn head and then a full Brawn shortly after (albeit not directly compatible with TMs in head mode), and TR Hot Rod compared to the Rodimus face could also be a similar example.
Diem wrote:On the other hand if Hasbro were planning not to release Godbomber then why keep Magnus Prime in Ginrai colours, why not make it a more distinct deco like the myriad of OP repaints before it? And if Hasbro were planning to release Godbomber, why not do so in the same box set?
As much as I would like to think there's some kind of plan here, these were the minds that re-released Energon Grimlock in a box set with no equivalent Swoop, so they're capable of anything really.

Here's the thing, if Quickswitch and Super Ginrai/Magnus Prime (which is bigger and more expensive to produce than Hasbro's own PM OP) can fill the same space in these sets then why not the equally large, but less expensive God Bomber? Clearly they're just interested in having a large figure in the box. And maybe having the more expensive Super Ginrai in one box and the less expensive God Bomber in another box is all part of their budget strategy?
o.supreme wrote:I think what a lot of people aren't realizing as well is that God Bomber is a parts former. Now don't get me wrong, I actually like God-Bomber a lot, I had the original for a time, and I have nothing against parts formers like some fans due. But due to their simplicity and general lack of poseability, this is the reason that, despite their size, they are slightly less expensive. I would be fully willing to pay Leader Price for him if sold separately but I don't see that happening. I just kind of wish at the very least Ginrai and God Bomber would be sold together in a set, but I know that would require Hasbro to create a new size packaging and price point, which they probably don't want to do.
