Hasbro, give us new Targetmaster for the cons, and make them as a Boxset, please

Why not both?
You say you want Kup but I presume he just isn't a priority at the moment?
Yeah. For me, I need to balance out a bit.
On the Decepticon side I've only got Terri-Bull, Fracas, and Scourge and these Autobots keep enticing me when I already have Loudmouth, Titan Master Brawn, Clobber (he's Grimlock to me!), Ptero (he's Swoop to me!), Sawback, Wheelie (worst. figure. ever?), Legends Class Brawn, Bumblebee, Furos, Hardhead, Xort, Highbrow, Walgreens Teslor, Walgreens Brainstorm, Laser Optimus Prime, Orion Pax.
..ok maybe more than a bit.
I'm actively hunting Walgreens for the Wingspan/Cloudraker set, and will probably pick up Blowpipe and Triggerhappy then Aimless and Misfire next. I found Brainstorm at multiple Walgreens so I keep checking those same ones.

Pretty much same thing here. WalmartHasbro's distribution is all messed up.

I managed to get it into my pile of loot and ship it yesterday morning for the standard $4 shipping. It was close. Apparently I screwed up how to put a pre-order in the pile of loot.

I dont understand. Hasbro just fills out the orders they recieve, why would they be to blame for the distribution at the retailer level?

Where the hell have you been the last 5-10 years. They can't get decent amounts of product in stores period. Oh you're in Canada where they're able to do better for some reason.

His point is, Hasbro is mostly fulfilling their end, shipping the toys to both the B&M and online retailers pretty close to their schedule. It is the distribution within the stores that has the most trouble that a consumer would see. The Walmart near me has not re-stocked TR deluxe since around Christmas. In that time Hasbro has shipped product to Walmart in the US as evidenced by other Walmarts having some in stock. That is not Hasbro's fault, it is Walmart. Hasbro can just deliver the toys, not force the retailers to actually distribute and stock them on the shelves.
I'm not saying Hasbro hasn't had any delays on their end, but the majority of what a consumer will see as lacking in a physical store is the store's fault, not Hasbro.
The online retailers do get the stock in and are one of the best gauges for when Hasbro is releasing things. If the toys make it to the online retailers, then you can be pretty sure that Hasbro is producing on their end. If the B&M stores don;t have them in stock, it is likely because they are backed up on previous waves from a lack of sales and aren't ordering more, or they are like my Walmart and simply refuse to restock for whatever reason.
In the case of my Walmart, it is definitely Walmart. The entire toy section has been basically ignored since Christmas. That is definitely not Hasbro.

TF-fan kev777 wrote:The one part of the supply/distribution issues that is pretty much on Hasbro is the name of the line. Since everything technically is under the Generations umbrella, some of the stores got a late start on TR because of existing stock of CW. Most stores would view CW Dragstrip as the same toy as TR Slugslinger despite them being separated by 10 waves in between because both are generations deluxe figures.
That is one change Hasbro could have made (change up the name of the line) that might have lead stores to discounting leader Skywarp quite a bit earlier than they did because to the stores, he was a current toy (generations leader class).

Do you feel that will change with the PotP combiners? Lots of beast transformers, plus the vehicle formers have different play patterns/feels.
After having them shelved for a while, I took out my UW Computron, and I love those guys, and it feels refreshing to tinker with both CW style and TR style figures together.
You know, I wouldn't mind seeing a news article CW vs TR. Best in each class compared.
o.supreme wrote:I think part of why Canada and some other countries have better distribution is because they are much smaller in population, and thus easier to fulfill supply/demand.
Now I will say I am pretty fortunate. Sure I have vented in recent months, but I can honestly say between a dozen Targets and Wal Marts and 3 TRU within a relatively short distance, I've seen every TR release so far with the exception of Ramhorn, Overlord, wave 5 Deluxes, & Wave 5 Voyagers. Trypticon I know has been in the area, I just missed it...(another rant on that may come later)
But correct me if I am wrong, but I thought ordering was driven by sales. If someone purchases 3 TR Deluxe figures at "Store X", 3 more automatically get ordered...Now I know Hasbro has no control over which 3...that is up to "Store X's" distributor...thus why you see odd things like one Local Wal-Mart getting 4 CW Leader Skywarps AFTER selling TR PM Prime & Blaster....and as I stated in another thread, the last CW Leader Skywarp is still there, now clearance for $10

I too believe that has a lot to do with it. But that just shows that what you would preffer can happen if the US was better organized for this. There are greater obstacles but the desired result is not unatainable.

thanks! That shows that having 3 TF lines sharing the same shelf space did not affect you being able to get the toys you wanted at retail. But correct me if I am wrong, but I thought ordering was driven by sales. I dont think it works that way. Ordering is not automatic. Hasbro produces figures according to orders so they need orders in advance. Hence why you see toys in the retailer's system 6 months before they actually can be found at retail. So orders are instead based on anticipated sales. What you are describing is a "just in time" system and the fact that retailers have more of the same toys taking up space in the back means they are not using that system.
Thats an excellent deal on Skywarp by the way, if you dont already have him I would recomend it

He looks amazing. As this was my very first TF ever, there is a strong nostalgia factor here, and I don't have to worry about the drills breaking off. But you all know I have an OCD when it comes to a running theme in my collection. I would love to be one of those fans that can do a "one-off" but its a slippery slope. I cant do it for fear I'll just say the heck with it and have to get all the TR deluxes. But I can admire the photos online.
