You never know, would you have thought this year's titan class would be a retool?

I love Headmasters, too. That's why I'm not excited for this line. Like they did with Combiner Wars, they are taking a fun gimmick, and beating it to death. Forcing it on characters that never had the gimmick to begin with. Over saturation is never a good thing.
I understand your dislike for those who weren't headmasters such as Blurr and Scourge What about for the characters that were originally headmasters or haven't had an update since their first original toy or even those who have never had a toy before (Sentinel) are you not excited for them?

No, not really. Sentinel is just a repaint to me. Ironically, though the headmaster gimmick on non Headmasters annoys me, Blurr and Astrotrain are two figures I'm looking forward to. Hardhead is too small, and I'll reserve judgement on Chromedome and Rewind till I see them in hand. I love the characters thanks to IDW, but I'm not sold on these plastic versions yet.
Over all I feel the design quality to be cheap. This, I fully aknowlage, is a result from being spoiled by Masterpiece and 3rd party figures. That said, Hasbro is fully capable of making better, and that's all I can think of when I see these. I know some say it's not a fair comparison and they are right. Hasbro is a multi billion dollar company, 3rd party market is needs in basements with 3D printers. The only reason Hasbro doesn't produce better figures is because the consuming public accepts lesser for the same money. Gah.
TL:DR, no I'm not excited.

maybe hasbro should stick to those that had headmasters, and then... wait for it... make up new characters that are headmasters![]()
Or dig into the bottom of the barrel, like the really late g1 micromasters. Update them, and give them characters, instead of recycling the same trash I didn't want in the first place

Yes. Now go to your room and don't play with yourself.

I wouldn't rule RID out just yet since Vector Prime previously did appear in episode 25 of season 1. Voiced by Troy Baker, even.Lunatic Prime wrote:Cobotron wrote:Ooooooh? Hasbro just registered Vector Prime?
AWESOME!
Most likely this will be for Titans Return and not RID, because I don't think that if there'll be another Prime in the show he would get a role important enought to make a toy out of him. It would be like Alpha Trion in Transformers Prime, I guess. Or Micronus in RID right now.
But also I could be tremendously wrong.![]()

If they wanted to, they could have him reappear and scan a new, more toyetic-looking form to work him in better.

So that said, it would be great to have some images, to represent what I saw when I'm talking to people. So I have a series of requests that are spoilers of what's coming later in 2016 and 2017. So anyone not wanting to know shouldn't read past this point. Cool?
Okay, I saw a Headmaster Star Convoy / Laser Prime from G2. It pretty much looks like Star Convoy, except that star-ish shaped yellow thing on his chest looks blockier, like a letter T. And his shoulders are very Laser Prime, sticking up high, with two circle things on the front of each one. In truck mode he's long nosed, but red. Not black with red flames.
Just as Sentinel Prime was obviously Astrotrain, Headmaster Megatron is obviously Blitzwing, but with a Megatron head. You can see his tank turret on his back, and jet fins on his ankles. He comes with two guns which merge to form his big cannon that can plug into his arm. Megatron's head looks very G1 in head mode. In "Nebulon" mode it has a red torso, and grey limbs.
Chromedome's getting repainted as Getaway. Head looks G1.
Triggerhappy is a headmaster who looks very G1.
Hot Rod is a headmaster who looks G1 in vehicle mode. Robot mode looks vaguely IDW to me. Small waste. Long thinghs. Big hexagonal kneepads with vents in them.
Alpha Trion's a triple changer. Beast Mode is a wolf with a unicorn horn (I have no idea why). Jet mode looks very Vector Prime.
Weirdwolf looks good. Very G1.
Powermaster Prime is getting a Diaclone repaint, so it's a blue COE truck. They seem to be calling it Magnus Prime or something along those lines (I can't remember for sure). Odd, since it's not white.
Tidal Wave seems to be coming back (investor art, photoshopped, rough). Looks like it'll share a mold with Broadside. Vehicle mode seems to be USS Flagg homage. Part of "strength series". Tidal Wave's head is called Powerhouse. Grey body. Green limbs.
Decepticon Clones. Looked to me like they have a Predaking. And the D-clones were Predaking parts. Same with Horri-Bull.
Sharkticon looks very round and G1.
Technobots look like you'd expect. But Afterburner is weird. Instead of making him G1, or just an orange Takara Groove, he's got this really long warped/bent windshield. It looks awkward to me. But that was my only complaint from everything I saw.
SDCC Fort Max comes with red sword. Has blue hands, instead of white.
That's all I can remember right now. Anyways, very excited. Would love to have any of these done up, just for the sake of chatting with friends about it on FB, etc.
Thanks-

I'm really excited to see what comes of Vector Prime I was thinking yesterday, after the news ofregistering the name Vector Prime, we haven't seen Alpha Trion's vehicle mode, but we've heard it's a ship. I was thinking it could very well look like VP's space ship mode.
I'm kind of hoping VP isn't a remold of AT, but it wouldn't be the worst thing in the world. It would be pretty cool for Vector to have a beast mode.

I'm already waiting for the ragers: "No, that would be absolutely terrible. He's not supposed to have a beast mode. He had never one so he shouldn't ever have one. That would be a violation to the character." And so on...
