The Thrilling 30 stuff like Waspinator, Rhinox, Rattrap, Sky-Byte, and Armada Starscream were from the previous brand team.
Well the G2 combiners technically count not to mention the rumored Tidal Wave, Liokaiser, and I'm pretty sure at least one more.
G2 is in a weird situation where it both is and isn't G1. G2 redecoes of G1 characters are not terribly inspiring as a non-G1 offering.
Liokaiser is a G1 character. Japanese G1 is still G1.
Tidal Wave is still just a rumor, but if he happens that will make a whole..... *pulls out calculator* two non-G1 figures produced by the current brand team.
In some fairness, the model they're in now where Generations has to have an overlying theme is certainly not helping this. During Gen 1.0 and Thrilling 30, where it was more of a catch-all line, there was more room for toys representing other eras.
Decepticon Stryker wrote:Huh. Didn't know Victory was G1. I thought it was a separate universe. Actually now that I think about it.. Isn't Armada part of G1 in the Japanese continuity? Well then I take back my statement. These guys are Geewunners.

Hate to ask, are you sure? The video review I saw led me to believe that the bits just came apart
Only if they have broken the toy plugging in the Engine block does release the tank halves for sure... but you can push the buttons manually - so perhaps that is what they did.

Speaking of, I would like to see a new Autotrooper, and I mean a retail version, not a Botcon exclusive. Imo he and that Kremzeek figure were the only two good things to come out of the Kiss Players line.
RAR wrote:That also does give the Combatrons a very strange status too in that Universe as they seem to be no the Criminals in storage type thing - but actually reprogrammed Maximal Stasis Pods.
Though I can't even remember how they made that excuse in the US Translation.

What?RAR wrote:the Japanese Version "Car Robots" is a daughter-Universe Time travel type story that is a direct sequel to Beast Machines

FYI Overlords Power Master gimmick wasn't integral to the transformation. All the Powermasters did was pop out some breast guns
Actually, they did a bit more than that.
His powermasters were somewhat integral to the transformation in that they unlocked the tank section to split into the legs, and unlocked the arms in the jet mode. Granted you could totally press the buttons in the slots yourself without the powermasters, but they did have that function.
Hate to ask, are you sure? The video review I saw led me to believe that the bits just came apart
I think that it's more meant as a "we aren't completely sure of this toy's existence".william-james88 wrote:Autobot N wrote:Also, I found this on TFW2005:Type-R wrote:The Chinese characters say that the figures in the list from Predaking to Cosmos are "basically confirmed" and the Deszaras to Carnivac are "not confirmed".
Thats interesting since Carnivac sems like a much more feasable toy to imagine. Its just a Wolfwire redeco.
william-james88 wrote:Sabrblade wrote:Tell that to Hasbro (again), since the current team doesn't seem to care about that anniversary (only TFTM's 30th anniversary is getting any attention from them, leaving it to only Takara and Fun Pub to care about Beast Wars this year).TK415 wrote:This could happen. It is the 20th anniversary of Beast Wars.
To be fair though, their homage to the 30th anniversary of the film is not all that great.
