Since he will most probably come with only 1 titan master, I hope they release another titan master to be his missing partner, and it would serve as an alternate face like either from the comics, or show or toy.

Overlord's face didn't really differ that much in either media, did it? If anything, his lips...
One Titan Master would have kissy lips and one wouldn't.JelZe GoldRabbit wrote:william-james88 wrote:About the titan masters being a great place to release different heads, I hope that is what happens with Overlord. In most continuities it's generally the same as Masteforce and the original toy.
In IDW it's LIPSPLOSION
If they follow suit I'd imagine the same as the rest. From what I've been seeing its three of each to a case?william-james88 wrote:also how many Gnaws are put in each case. Hasbro has been smarter about shortpacking lately.

I'm still expecting it, almost every G1 based Bumblebee has been turned into a Cliffjumper one way or another.

Thats at least 2 different versions then, good enough. And in any case, I will just take a random mean looking decepticon titan master and give it to overlord as an extra guy so he can have 2 pilots for his 2 alt modes. Really looking forward to this.
Do we know any of the cases for wave 3 (aside from deluxes and TMS of course)? I am curious to know if Sky Shadow is being released alongside Sixshot and also how many Gnaws are put in each case. Hasbro has been smarter about shortpacking lately.
Yeah seems like a no brainer. If they do, some retooling would be nice.Stuartmaximus wrote:JelZe GoldRabbit wrote:william-james88 wrote:He wasnt in any of the rumours, was he?

Its not since they always come in even numbers. Stripes was (wisely) shortpacked in wave 1 but in wave 2 it was Rumble who was Shortpacked:

http://www.entertainmentearth.com/prodi ... AJrluArK00
That makes me think, is Rumble the least popular character of the trio? Makese sense since Ravage and Laserbeak are the more popular versions of those molds, while Rewind was the more sought after version of his mold, right? So I am thinking that come wave 3 (dont know if they are labelling it TR 2016 wave 1 or not) Gnaw will not be shortpacked.
Intelligent shortpacking? Madnesswilliam-james88 wrote:carytheone wrote:If they follow suit I'd imagine the same as the rest. From what I've been seeing its three of each to a case?william-james88 wrote:also how many Gnaws are put in each case. Hasbro has been smarter about shortpacking lately.

Kurona wrote:Totally expecting them to go IDW on this, by the way - considering Titans Return has had quite a few characters who have their IDW heads despite being on bodies that match the original toys but not their IDW bodies (Brainstorm, Chromedome, Rewind).
Plus IDW is where Overlord got a lot of his popularity like those other characters. I mean yeah people liked him before but Last Stand really boosted it.

How about Sky Shadow? Did Megatron beating him to a pulp in Megatron Origins 1 bolster any want in that toy?

Its kinda like marvel legends where they shortpack the most popular character in The wave.

But I think Ravage is shelfwarming because that toy doesnt look good or appealing (especially packed in his plane mode) rather than because he isnt popular.

Although then again, no matter how crappy an optimus toy is, they do get sold (but that's Optimus).
Haha, yeah I noticed that on the back of Rumble's packaging it was just a recolored Rewind. Is that the same with Ravage?JelZe GoldRabbit wrote:william-james88 wrote:Bumblebee21 wrote:Im pretty sure that FRENZY is the most popular character and laserbeak after that with ravage shelfwarming

Or people are wising up to the whole redeco idea: on first sight, the real difference between Ravage and SteeljawStripes is the orange vs. grey. Much like how Rewind and FrenzyRumble have grey vs. red. Recoloring the stock image for the toys doesn't help.
