Just took a much closer look at the area (got my trusty magnifying glass and everything )...and seems I got lucky. Not overly tight, no stress marks...gonna be careful from now on, but I think I'm good for now.

Haha, me too, magnifying glass and everything (the eyes are getting old). All seems clear here on Jetfire and all 3 seekers to, so whew.

Now I just have ton look into what Hellscream said about the Superion neckplate...

To put some of you at ease, and to redirect this thread back to Titans Return sooner than later, Hasbro has introduced a running change to the base Silverbolt mold that fortifies that particular joint. That change can be found on later releases of Scattershot (including the Computron set one), and UW Tactician Cyclonus. Unfortunately, Silverbolt himself got the shaft on that, with G2 Silverbolt the worst out of the lot.

Thanks. Mine all look to be okay so far, and now I know to proceed with extreme caution.

Now that it's been brought up again, I wonder if the Wolfwire breakage issue has anything to do with him being rumored for a re-release in wave 5?

Plus repaint/retool potential is pretty limited on a giant helicopter. Crossblades? He might be even more obscure than Blue Bacchus as far as IDW goes.

Blowpipe: Compression Cannon
Daburu: Energon Jolt for peak performance
Firedrive: Electro-static Fireblast
Throttle: Speed Boost

Note how the powers of two of them are akin to Targetmasters

Voyager Class
Diac: Teleportation
Doomshot: Super-Fusion Reaction

Hmmm...If Hasbro is willing to lampshade Broadside's scale ridiculousness, why not double down on these Titan Master powers? Maybe Soundblaster and Twincast have the power to make outdated and anachronistic technology relevant? Then we could have our classic minicassette recorder and boombox modes for Soundwave and Blaster, along with all of their buddies in their proper minicassette forms?

As an IDW fan though, I can tell you that despite his status as a phase sixer, he -really- wasn't much more significant than Blue Bacchus. He was essentially in the same category as Furman's hi-and-dies - outside of his death he literally got a single cameo (in the form of a hologram, no less!) in the entirety of the continuity. I'm not confident in the possibility of a Blue Bacchus figure myself, but... at the end of the day, Black Shadow isn't that much more prominent than him. He only really got a figure this time around because they needed a retool for Overlord, and... well, I guess since there were no obvious ones, they went for someone with a different, attractive colour scheme and a coincidental connection to Overlord and Sixshot.

Just read that tfwiki post. Any chance to have an image shot? Just need to be sure what part I should be looking at. And maybe the explosive results?

That's why he's a pretool of better characters like like Overlord and Thunderwing rather than an original mold like Six Shot. Hasbro basically came out and said the only reason why he was made was because he was a Phase Sixer, if it weren't for his rank and convenience he never would have been made. But Blue Bacchus is a total nobody in the comics and there's really nothing in the pipeline that could easily work with him. Maybe a new Springer or Sandstorm (like they wouldn't be the same base mold anyway), but nothing Leader class.

the trouble i'm having with this is....his alt modes, coz Blackwall's alt mode was some sort of armored SUV that was intended to carry Megatron around, but his robot mode kinda does look a bit like Blackwall in those colours

If Crossblades or his remould did get a leader it would be interesting to maintain the 2 part construction and make it interchangable with any and all other toys that have that feature in the future.

I'm not sure which part would be the Helicopter and which part the jet though - do you keep the existing jet (broadly speaking) and make a small Helicopter for legs ? or keep the tank mode and modify the jet with a rotor system.

I could see how the legs could be made to form rocket boxes / landing skids instead of simply having a helicopter sit on top of a tank.

But the question is then raised about Duocons as you'd be part of the way there then with a Flywheels & Battletrap toy too. + you get he ability to make Flytrap and Battlewheels instead too if they are the same mould family.

That is the problem with this damn mould/design it's two damn useful for two many things and it would be so easy to over use the heck out of it.

Diatlas, Battletrap, Flywheels, Crossblades, Blue Bacchus, Overlord, Black Shadow, & Thunderwing for a start. Possibly even Starsaber too.

But perhaps Triplechanger Blitzwing is a better choice for a Flywheels (though we likely wouldn't be thinking about this at all if Botcon was still around and able to make one out of Generations Blitzwing).

I think if they made a new mould Helicopter and possibly a new mould legs that turned into a jet of sorts then that would get you a lot of variety out of that and what already exists or will exist.

If they can hide the repaint nature they might be able to poke them into the line before Prime Wars is finished. or do some as platinum releases.

Helicopter on top and jet (technically a cybertronian dragster) as the legs makes the most sense to me. And yeah, they could just legs for a truck to make Battletrap and turn the Overlord mold to Skytread/Flywheels. Wont happen, but makes more sense to me than turning them into Triplechangers.

One could just use some creative camera angles to achieve a forced perspective optical illusion.
