Probably not, if I'm honest-the stickers put me off, the ship mode looks great but doesn't even scale with Legends and the jet mode is a travesty. A shame as the robot mode is cool. I do kinda want Alpha Trion though, who IIRC was heavily retooled into Broadside.

Not retooled, they just have the same parts for the lower legs. The upper body is a totally new mold unrelated to alpha trion.

Didn't Hasbro themselves say that broadside was a retool? I'm pretty sure I remember Ryan himself saying it was a retool and everyone kinda ignored him.

Again, such figures really blurr the line. They're related by parts at the very most, but some may use more conditions to be met in order to properly use the term "retool". Ah, the joys of being overly technical...

If you're willing to risk it, one could keep an eye on Ross, Marshalls, Burlington and other liquidator stores during the holiday season. I won't, mine never got the CW sets in!

Was that... an intentional pun? 'Cause like, Blurr and Chromedome share parts the same way Broadside and A3 do (more or less)? Or... no? Probably just me.

Anyways, I don't know what it is that makes me feel so inclined, but I just feel like Broadside and A3 are more related than most 'part-sharers' are. Maybe it's because the legs transform so similarly between all three modes - heck, the carrier-type modes are basically identical in terms of part placement aside from the arms. Maybe he's a case of part-sharing crossed over with a case of shared engineering? That gets a bit too hard to type out every time though, and aCoPSCowaCoSE doesn't exactly roll off the the fingertips either (though it's fun to say. A-cops-cow-a-cose!), so maybe simply "part-sharing" is the best designation after all.

That ambiguity of classification totally bugs me too though, as is no doubt evident from the above.

I was thinking about Buying Alpha Trion his 3rd party staff - but I can't seem to find it - anyone recall what it's actually called ?

I wonder if the rumour that some of the Transformers that probably should have shown up by now are being held back for the Last Knight Street date is true ?

If so then maybe the Combiner Force stuff and also the stray Titan Returns and who know what else all might magically appear at that time too. (I can hope so at least).

Hasbro did say they wanted to make sure there was more options available I just hope the retailers don't go screw it up.

Google seems to inform me that it's literally just called "Trion's scepter" (from Dr. Wu, it looks like). I hadn't heard of it before but it actually looks pretty cool; I might have to get one as well now that I think about it!

Hmm, that seems possible to me - and in a weird way, it's kind of reassuring to think of it that way. At least then it feels like maybe the new stuff is coming but it just hasn't been pushed out yet, rather than having a nagging worry that "maybe I won't see this wave after all".

As some of you may remember a new department store opened near me about a month or two ago, and when it did so it had a fairly small selection of Transformers (about 2 cases of each TR class from TM to Voyager), despite having a surprisingly large dedicated TF section! Since then it's remained that way, with no restocks AFAIK and the section looking sparse, but still with price-tags up for TLK stuff and just stickered over temporarily. That does seem to imply to me that they're planning on a huge influx of stock, and it would make sense (to them at least, I'm sure) to just hold back on restocking 'til they know they can put everything out onto shelves.

Of course, this is in contrast to the other two nearby department stores not only failing to restock, but actually shrinking their TF sections by a sizeable amount (one of them reducing TR Deluxe space to a single peg(!))... so really, it's hard to glean much from those patterns of behavior. I'll maintain hope, though - thanks for bringing that spark RAR!

It's on my list of potential buys for the wreckers, I remembered that one!

Guzzle is a great toy - I wonder why they never repainted him - I don't think Takara even released him in his Japanese version either (slightly different colours on the Japanese original one) It's kind of strange that he never got slipped into a box set repainted as Quake or something like that.

To anyone who doesn't have him he's really terrific and a great complement to the Generations Mini-bots too like Cosmos, or Tailgate.

Now you have me wondering where mine has got too lately - I suddenly want to play with him now.

So like, is anyone else kind of bothered by the sliiiiiight gap lines between Hot Rod's main body and his arms in vehicle mode? Especially when you open up the cockpit? It certainly doesn't ruin the figure for me, especially when overall this vehicle mode is absolutely beautiful; but it does take some points off and takes me out of it a little.

I guess it's kinda annoying...but I generally have a suspension of disbelief with TF vehicles, as long as it isn't anything like FoC Onslaught. So, I can generally ignore little things like that. And the crumpled up robot under every single altmode.

Is the $50 price for a leader class normal on amazon? I thought the MSRP for leaders in the US was $45.

Also, I forget where I read this but there was a commentor who said that Krok and Quake would be the hardest to find since they are shortpacked. Turns out he was dead wrong. hasbro is smarter than any of us like to think and whenever I see wave 4 in store or online, Krok and Quake are the always there while the others which arent short packed are sold out. Those are the first I found and the first Cobo found and even at those higher prices, perceptor is sold out instead of the shortpacked toys.

So yeah, hasbro was smart, the less important characters which are selling less rapidly are the shortpacked ones while the more important characters are not. I still see getaway whenever I see wave 3 even though he is shortpacked, that toy is really not as hot.

Arent you saying exactly what I just said? I was just saying that the person who said none of us would be able finding those 2 (in comparison to the others) because they are shortpacked was wrong. Them being shortpakced is not making it harder to find compared to the rest.
