I find it interesting that when it comes to the traditional headmaster characters, i'm perfectly content with the hasbro releases. However with the non headmaster characters like blurr and scourge I prefer takara. Now i'm not entirely familiar with the post movie/season 3 American and Japanese G1 media; was there an aesthetic difference between depiction of headmasters between toy and media, hasbro and takara?

You have to be joking bro. Else I question your sanity. (And that's pretty bad when a Joker knockoff is questioning your sanity.)
Regarding detail and overall construction: yes. They are no-where near MP. However, to say they are hardly better than Rescue Bots is highly distasteful.

The only aspect of them that relates to modern MPs is Hasui involvement. Even then his involvement were for aesthetics and structural integrity.

Yeah, saying the Constructicons are a little more than oversized Rescue Bots is extreme.
And I get it's just an opinion, but man, imo, that's a big stretch of a description.

I just hope that if it is true it'll be a really heavy retool. I'm planning on this being my perfect Megsy purely from appearance and scale... but I plan to have Megatron displayed with Soundwave, the Cassettes, Devastator, Reflector, Blitzwing and Astrotrain. So it's either this is a retool so great they're distinguishable from each other, or I go with the Generations one everyone hates.
Or wait another 7 years for them to do Blitzwing again.

Re: Transformers Titans Return Product Reveals, News, Updates, Rumors, Leaks and more!
Have you guys played around with any Masterpieces made after MP-10? It may be a bit confusing because Grimlock and the Seekers are reissues and MP-10 is a bit of a throwback.
MPs now are much, much more like Deluxe to Voyager scale and articulation.
The main difference is generally a few fragile pieces, maybe one finger's articulation, and accessories.
Get rid of Bumblebee's alternate faceplate in favor of single sculpted piece (for choking hazard reasons), change the material of his glass, get rid of his accessories, and maybe re-engineer his doors and he could be a Classics deluxe.
A lot of the others like Sideswipe could comfortably be Voyagers with less re-engineering, mainly swapping hands for pegged hands.
As for Rodimus being a triple changer, there's one easy solution:
Take the Deluxe Titans Return Hot Rod with a spoiler and chest mod and new deco.
Have the parts-forming trailer handle the bulk of the "triple changing" feature, acting as, say, trailer, base, and jet mode.

If Getaway is a sign of things to come, expect Hasbro to only switch out the Titan Master for Megatron's redeco. On that note, does Astrotrain feature any sculpting changes from Sentinel?

Astrotrain has absolutely no sculpting changes from Sentinal Prime, aside from a different face.

Oh, yeah, good point, and I was going to chime in on this too. I think the only real difference I've seen is how the feet are oriented. Generally Astrotrain's feet have had shuttle nose toes, and Sentinel Prime's feet have cow-catcher train phalanges. (Okay, I kinda failed at that attempt at alliteration...

To me, it looks like Hasbro's Fort Max is trying desperately to get a waitress' attention, or is politely trying to interject himself in a conversation. Takara's For Max looks like he's in a heroic stance, leading a battalion of Autobot Warriors on the front line, waiting for the signal to clash arms with the Decepticons.

Well, yeah. But they've shown that you can turn Sentinal's feet around and have him with Astrotrain's feet and vice versa. So that's still not a mold difference.

Maybe Fort Max is re-enacting that infamous "Kids in the Hall" sketch? He's peering at Scorponok in the distance, making him look tiny with the perspective trick of framing him with his finger and thumb, and going "SQUISH!"
