These things are still only worth $9.99 IMO.
What has been your success rate at waiting and still getting the figures you want? You have a strategy in terms of grabbing a few early and waiting on others? I'm still trying to figure out how to gauge which figures I can wait for to get a good discount, and which ones I should just snag when available at close to MSRP rather than taking a chance at saving a few bucks.
Just curious guys, I hear Hasbro Toy Shop is the way to go in the US if you want to pay the least possible, but do they get every figure that gets released?
But maybe not all at the same time for you to get free shipping every time though right? That must be tough to plan out. Its too bad your raincheck policies arent as great as in Canada (we get 90 days after a TRU sale).

They're slower in getting figures, and may not get everything. Again Sky Lynx is the example. I never saw it offered by them. But they have enough that is not too hard to get over $50 for free shipping. Definitely need to do some planning though to fill in gaps.

In my time, the only sale I saw was on the original wave of Clash RiD figures, and those were buy $30 get $5 off, which I couldn't get cause it was only for those 3 (they never got Megatronus) and I only wanted 2 of them.

Lion mode and spaceship mode aren't all that great, but robot mode is awesome and majestic. Just an amazing face sculpt.

They'll sometimes have BOGO 40% or 50% off. Nothing great.

I've not been lucky enough to find that sale.
Walmart and Target are my best 2 sources. Target somehow manages to find deluxes earlier than the others most of the time (looking at you combaticons) and Walmart gets the waves all at once usually (looking at you TR leaders) and keep the $4.99, $9.99, $14.99, $24.99, and $44.99, unlike TRU where they get stuff half the time the quickest, but have consistently been up about 20% ($6.99, $12.99, $23.99, $29.99, $50.99)
nycPrime wrote:I've never seen a sale at TRU I've been excited about. The only way I've consistently gotten items below MSRP is through HTS. You can normally get newer stuff at an all-in price of slightly below MSRP with coupon codes. For stuff that doesn't sell as well, you can get a better discount since they drop prices faster than TRU, but not as fast as Amazon. Pretty much everything, if not all, from the CW line is presently discounted.
So going back to the earlier discussion about planning. I really want all the deluxes from wave 2. I'm debating if I should pick it up now at close to MSRP, or wait until later in the year and hope to pick them up at a discount. I don't feel like availability will be an issue. The only one as of yesterday I saw was sold out from BBTS was Chromedome.
Works for me.RodimusConvoy13 wrote:Autobot N wrote:Can you fold the lion legs behind the torso to make it less boxy?RodimusConvoy13 wrote:Got this guy from UPS a little bit ago!

No, they can point backwards, but won't fold up the back.

I once saw someone take a pic of A3 with his legs tucked away. Lemme go find it.Madeus Prime wrote:Sigma Magnus wrote:RodimusConvoy13 wrote:Autobot N wrote:Can you fold the lion legs behind the torso to make it less boxy?RodimusConvoy13 wrote:Got this guy from UPS a little bit ago!

Ditto, I want to see if it gives it a caped look

I'd wait it out some. Wave 2 will most likely be around for a while so there should be plenty of opportunity to get them

My far, the better price for titans return wave 2 online. the set of 4 deluxes is $67.99 so 16.99 a figure and you get free shipping on orders above $50. That beats BBTS by quite a bit.

I'm inclined to wait, at least for the wave 2 deluxes. Wheelie I may just grab if I see it at a store. It's the only one that is pretty consistently sold out at various retailers. I'm patiently waiting for Blaster to be discounted.

I haven't ordered from them myself but they are a sponsor for another website I visit for action figure news, thefwoosh.com. It's a pretty cool website, so I imagine they wouldn't have a place that rips off customers as a sponsor.
