I randomly went to Winners today and I had an unexpectedly fell in love at first sight with Rescue Bots Elite Heatwave.

For only CAN23$, I have a big mofo transforming FIREMAN! He's amazing looking and only transform in 2.5 steps with an automorphing gimmick. He also have a hidden claw. His only fault is how the partforming ladder work.

Inferno for scale.

He deserves a place in my firefighter collection.

Heh, it's odd that for my latest haul that countain MP Silverstreak, I didnt feel the need to take a picture, but for that silly TF made for young kids, I just had to take TWO.

Last day of the TrU sale, I got some nifty stuff.

The big 3 steps Grimlock (Love his transformation!)
Warrior Sideswipe (That car mode is sexy as hell! Especially with the "deffective" colors)
And CW Hotspot (Awesome all over!).

Only 4 dudes missing to have a complete Defensor...

He's only missing his radar dish and the side cannons. The ramps are there, Plasma and Brave are there, and Brave's rifle is there too.

It actually belonged to her husband. He got G1 Fortress Maximus (or Grand Maximus, can't remember which), then canibalized the hip cannons from this guy. He lost the radar dish a long time ago though. Now that they're moving he wanted to give it to someone he knew wouldn't just ebay it. My sis married the right guy.

My wife got my Hot Spot yesterday. It's the first and only time either of us had ever seen him in the United States.

The only place I've ever seen Hot Spot on a shelf was in Berlin earlier this month, on our honeymoon. Great distribution, Hasblow.

He wont be since he is not part of the scramble city model they are emulating. And plus, he is made up of 6 equally big components, like Devastator. It seems Hasbro is faithful enough to keep the same number of components needed to make the combiner (aside from the legends guys, but I dont count them, Takara doesn).

Train transformers are awesome indeed. I recomend you try getting your mits on the Micromaster called Six Train, who is made up of 6 small different trains.

Yeah, I do not think Hasbro is every really going to get into the whole traincombiner thing. That's more Takara's deal. Maybe it has something to do with the fact that trains are more relevant in Japanese infrastructure than trains are for the US/Canadian mainland? Hasbro doesn't like trains? I dunno.

Takara released 3 train combiners during GEEWUN and Hasbro picked up exactly none of those. Even during the 2004-2005 wave of re-releases of micromaster combiners Hasbro only picked up one of the two available. And, IMO, the lesser of the two (but that's just my opinion).

In terms of wishfull thinking, I would LOVE to see a CW Raiden. Never gonna happen, though.

The inclusion of the TGV in both the combiner sets is very rad, IMO. The TGV made it's stop at the airport over here, back before it got replaced by the Thalys.

The MM sets are not complete recolors, though. The combiner heads do differ and they have 3 remolds each. Having both versions of Sixtrain and Sixliner, I see differences in color on several members of the teams as wel as on the combiner kibble. The later reissues have more 'serious' colors. The bright green of both combiners was dropped as well as Sixliners red hands and feet.
